Am going through something similar so understand your frustration! Have just sold a boxed printer and the buyer is complaining that it does not come with a cable to connect to her laptop. She has confirmed by reading the box that the printer never came with this cable, but somehow she has got the hump. I pointed out that if she was buying it brand new then she would reasonably expect to have to buy the cable.......... but she is not having it. I'm bracing myself for the feedback.....

I have felt better reading the comments about numptys - plenty of them around in everyday life, so why should ebay be any different?! It's just all so annoying. Perhaps a 'numptys need not bid' button is required under 'place bid'....... :rotfl:

HP, I take it? Those muppets never include cables. That said... I have about a billion USB cables lying around, so I suppose it's for the best!

Can I just point out, through my experience working in education and adult education, that not all illiterate people are numpty's. There are too many reasons to go into why this is an unfair generalisation, regardless of statistics and personal experiences.

Also, there are many literate morons in this world which no doubt fill the majority of the rest of the population. I think there are few people who can truly say that they have never done a moronic/idiotic thing in their life.

Regardless of the above, OP's buyer seems to be making excuses for the fact that she never read the sellers T&C, and the neg was justified. :p

I've just received a negative feedback from a 0 feedback buyer from portugal.

I sold her a bag over a month ago, correctly described as brand new without tags. This is because I bought it last summer from a catalogue, removed tags but did not use it as it was a beach bag and I didn't get to go on holiday last year as I bought a house so the bag got stored in a box until I sorted stuff out to list on ebay.

Before she used buy it now she asked for more pictures which I sent her, the bag was in perfect new condition.

I sent it the next day by Airsure, so she will have had it for at least 3 weeks but I have not received any contact from her since she won the auction.

I have received feedback today saying "Although it was stated that the item was brand new, it wasn't really."

    I'm upset and angry

I have sent her a message

"Hi, sorry that you are disappointed with the bag. What makes you think that it wasn't brand new? and why did you not contact me before leaving feedback?"

I feel like leaving negative feedback for her since she did not bother to contact me before leaving the feedback. I even state in my auctions to contact me before leaving feedback if there is a problem.

Also the bag was new and had not been used, it was as described and was sent the day after payment was received.

The same thing happened to me a while ago. I sold a "magic trick" (that had never been out of the box and had cost £10) to someone on Ebay for 99p. He left neg feedback because he couldn't get the trick to work as it should. I was livid but all I could do was respond to his feedback with, "if you'd contacted me beforehand I could've done something like give you the grand sum of 99p back". It wasn't my fault that either the buyer was too dumb to do the trick or the manufacturer sold a faulty item, but I would've given up the quid for the sake of my otherwise perfect record.

There are just some people out there who don't have two brain cells to rub together. It's a sad fact of life.

  • The world is full of stupid people.

I recently spent a day with the Highways Agency Traffic Officer's out on the M1 round Luton and this particular day was really foggy. I asked why all the matrix boards displayed the word "FOG" when it was so glaringly obvious to everyone. The guys were in complete agreement that it was stupid, but they'd received so many complaints from the general public about not displaying the fog warning on the boards that they'd done it to shut them up whinging about it.

People can no longer think for themselves anymore; they need nannying 24/7 with someone telling them what to do and how to do it. A really sad state of affairs.

    As you're being pedantic...
That should be “As you were being pedantic...” as by the time you read it I had ceased being pedantic. :rotfl: :rotfl:
