Thompson & Morgan not so lucky dip

Options
The offer of 20 plants for £15 sounds good at first but a recent lucky dip from T&M brought only very sickly buddlea cutting which my 5 year old granddaughter could have managed .... look this gift horse in the mouth.

Also this is a rip off if you look at there site a little closer you can find this plant offer for £9.99 :-) what would you prefer ?

SPECIAL OFFER - To get this perennial bumper collection for just £9.99 simply add the product to your order and enter order code 'WEB1129' into the 'Use order code' box in your shopping basket. The discount will then be applied.
  • Would have posted the link but for some stupid reason New members on this site are not allowed to post links ?? thats a lot of good when your trying to show someone a money saving tip and where to look ?

    Well done Martin

Yes - but postage&packing (£4.99) IS extra - the plants are still £9.99
  • I too received my long awaited 20 perennials today ..:eek::eek:.......several points
    a) they are not all different 4 x Campanula + I large Lupin and 1 small
    b) they have all the appearance of "dead plants" even allowing for the fact that they are perennials and could be ""resting""
    c) someone kindly drenched and I mean really drenched the plugs --- makes me think that old neglected plants --soaked to make a customer think they have been cared for .........or am I cynical

It is not the money so much ....but the fact I have waited 3 weeks .....believing that I would have issuable plants for my new garden

I shall file Thompson and Morgan ""under do not use""

I was quite pleased with mine, for some reason there are also ten packets of seeds included with it (I'm sure they weren't part of the offer, and I don't have any other outstanding orders with them).

Half are flower seeds and half vegetables - not cheap packets either.

After a 3-week wait, this is what turned up today (see attached pic)Plants.jpg

OK for £9.99 + P&P but the original offer, both here (weekly email) and on the Thompson and Morgan website, said 'worth £100'.

To which I reply, 'my !!!!'.
