2:2 Grad Jobs!?!?

By the above post, I mean providing you have a strong degree, a-levels, and some sort of related experience and proven skills profile. If an average degree is all you have, then I agree, you are wasting your time.0

Maybe you won't get on a grad scheme straight away - it could take a couple of years to get there building up your CV and contacts.
I've tried to work my way up.. i've got a 2:2 but because of prior experience i'm in a job with a 2:1 min requirement. I'm now applying for jobs with firms that have 1st requirements. It's taken me a couple of years more than it would have if i'd worked harder at uni, but i'm building my experience and trying to get there...0 -
There are still plenty that deadlines haven't passed - look at the upcoming deadlines list on milkround.com

It is an employment position for those people that hold a degree. Common applicants will be in their last year of uni in a BA/BSc Hons course, however those with other degrees or in different circumstances may often apply.0

Thanks for the links, just came across this old post whilst looking for graduate training schemes in Google. Anyone got an updated link to the Aldi one? Doesn't seem to work any more. Also, to add to the collection, there's good ol' Argos doing graduate schemes over at https://secure.argoscareers.com/0 -

Prospects is good get their email alerts.
Aldi very much like Lidl and Netto (wage & benefits v. similar too), but I think they've upped the requirement to a 2:1 (OH was turned down without interview, & he had 9 yrs of retail experience!)
They pay well but they want blood and sweat for it!
The point of a graduate scheme usually is train graduates up who don't have much experience. They may have considered that he had too much experience, some companies say if you have more than 12 months experience in that field you should apply for their normal vacancies and not the graduate scheme.0
