I make my own now, something I started about a month ago, before that would use the Yip ones occasionally, don't use made sauces, they usually full of ickyness! Make my own Indian style currys too, that Curry Secret book is great for those, recommended by someone on this site. Some of it takes a fair bit of prep but make larger and tells you when best to freeze along the way to save time on next few curries etc. I don't use MSG in any of the food and find it's fine. One day I might be more organised...........

Morrisons sell Mayflowers chinese curry powder (its in a box near all the cook in sauce mix packets). Its 99p and a third of a box makes plenty of curry for 4, just fry some chicken breast pieces add onions and a few peas stir in the sauce, simmer 5 minutes and hey presto! gorgeous curry that everyone will think you got from the local chinese takeaway.0

i made a gorgeous home made curry tonight. was planning on cooking stir fry but just fancied curry!
chopped and coated some turkey in yoghurt and tandoori spices (from indian shop, you can get them anywhere). sliced and fried an onion, some ginger and some garlic. added the turkey, when sealed added some frozen veg, and some fresh mushrooms (only used frozen as it was handy!). added a tin of tomatoes and simmered for about ten mins. was gorgeous.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
