This. Add on the local priest too, all you need is some basic info
Infact, that could be a good money making scheme for someone in their 50's with 10 years no claims. For a small fee offer to be put on someones insurance. Win win!
I'm drawing up a business plan now, who's in?
Im doing something similar. getting my mate insured on a banger and me as 2nd driver. If i do this and get him named as a first driver he has to pay too right?
Which i will cover. Its less than a grand if i do this and 3 k if i dont!0 -

him main driver, you first named driver, split the cost if your both going to use it, if your not going to use it then let hiom cover the cost of the policy as a whole, after all you got him a 2k discount.
if you do it this way,
you main driver him named driver and he drives it more than you its called "fronting" and illegal and if anything goes wrong and your insurers find out (they have means) they wont pay out to you refuse you insurance (to wich you have to declair to other insurers as its held on database now and they can easily check) and could take you to court for the extra premium cost as you defrauded them.0 -
Yeah I wouldn't risk 'Fronting' my insurance, I live with my brother (36yo male driving for +12 years) but he currently has no claims, he hasn't driven a privately owned car in 2 years (except use of a company car).
tescos insurance offer an option to add a named driver and let them use for commute and be the main user that doesnt seem to affect the price much, problem is, my brother having no no claims does.0
