If we did we might add up. Classic example last summer, a graduate in their last year out with a projected 1st.
She looked on in amazement at how I worked out the floor areas in my head in a moment.
Or a shopkeeper using a calculator to work out change...Stop! Think. Read the small print. Trust nothing and assume that it is your responsibility. That way it rarely goes wrong.

Or how my A- Level tutee looks on in amazement when I do some of the maths/ physics arithmetic before she's typed it into the calculator. 500/1500 x 12? 4.0
