    Good evening everyone,

I've had a good couple of days and my purse has stayed in my bag so I'm very pleased with myself.
I spent some time with DH last night planning out the next few month's expenditure and we're going in the right direction when it comes to spending - all the things that we can affect are going down (fixed costs stay fixed of course) so we just need to keep plugging on.
    Trying to keep in budget.

Good Morning chums I forgot to say in my bargain shop yesterday I bought a reduced price jar of cut yellow wax beans for 25p I have never heard of them, and haven't a clue what you do with them or even how to use them Anyone here tried these ? and what are they like. I know it was a bit of an impulse buy but at 25p I thought I'd give it a go.Just need a recipe now :):):)I am open to ideas or recipes chums :):):). This morning for breakfast I am having some YS rasberries from yesterdays shop sprinkkled on top of my bran flakes with a good dollop of my basic value yoghurt on top of that, cheap and healthy I love the big pots of basic yoghurt as I can do so much with themfor very little money I use it on top of cereal,in curries, and mixed up with chopped fresh fruit as a pudding45p well spent and far cheaper than cream I think :):):) there was a chap handing out samples of green lemon tea at the shops yesterday and bless him he gave me a good handful as he seemed to be getting too many 'no thank you's' so I now have 15 tea bags of lemon green tea for nowt.I saw somehwere that if you make a big jug of it and steep several bags in cold water with some honey and leave in the fridge its supposed to be quite refreshing .So as it was a freebie I am going to give that a go today,Make a change form orange squash on a warm day i hope :):):)
    Onwards and upwards chums

    Hi all,

I'm a lurker on this thread but now's the time to pop my head in and say hello!

I have been spending quite a lot recently - OH and a couple of friends birthday's, holidays and weekends away and also buying Xmas presents in the sumer sales have thrown me into frivolous ways, so I'm determined to have some NSD's to get back on track!

Hoping to get to at least the end of this week without any spends apart from the weekly grocery shop which should come in at no more than £30 inc any YS bargains as we have most things in already us a good stock of toiletries & cleaning products to last us a while.

In the evenings I'm going to go for walks to keep me off amazon & Ebay, and if the weather's suitable we'll go and play tennis for free at a local park.

Trips to the next to work at dinnertime need to be cut too, too many times I've wondered over just for something to do and ended up buying something just because I was there, time to bring the trainers to work and walk the opposite way instead...

We've exhausted the eating out novelty for a while (a big weakness) due to the recent away days and not many takeaways appeal in this warm weather - to be honest I'm doing this for both health and purse reasons!

Keep up the good work guys!
    :)

    Hi everyone,

Day 1 of our fast and the cat presented last night with a huge lump in his side, which he was really unhappy about having touched. So now it's no spending apart from DDs, petrol for work and the inevitable vet's bill...

DH suggested scrapping it all together and starting again next week, but this week will be a really tight week for us so it's the best time to try and cut back as much as possible.

    onwards and upwards!

Not a NSD yesterday as we went to the swimming pool but I didn't buy anything from the shops so it was a relatively low spend day.

Not sure what we'll be doing today, maybe the pool again or the zoo (which would be free for my daughter but paying for me). We certainly don't need any food which is good.

2 NSD's for me now, made my own lunch even though it's 'temptation Friday' at work, and had fakeaway kebab for tea, with a Graze pudding for my dessert, and a cake that someone brought into work for their birthday for OH ;)

Just found a packet of m&ms in the treat box, not sure how they escaped my attention for so long!

Yesterday was a NSD for us, cat ended up having surgery and staying in the vets overnight, so that was over $300 this morning - not so good for the NSD! No frivolous spending tho :-)

Hi can I join please? From Monday as tomorrow I am taking my little girl to the cinema for the first time. Costing £2.70 for both of us as my friend booked our tickets in advance. Getting her a £2 munch box with popcorn and a drink in it plus sweets I think. So Monday I am hoping to spend nothing.
Feb NSD's 2/10 under my belt.
