we are a large family that over occupy the van

Its not stupidity thumb, its over occupancy or are you too stupid to understand that?

Just because the OP has a large family does not excuse over occupancy, if the replacement van is worse then get the old van back and take less people on holiday or get another larger or another additional van parked next door.

    This IS simple.

Its not the holiday parks fault that they are over occupying the van, they have to consider safety for the whole park and over occupying a van can be considered unsafe.

I wonder if they also turn up in a small corsa with them all in ?

A caravan park agreed to give us the money back for a van we purchased as it was "miss-sold" we went and signed an agreement last week which stated how much they would pay and that we wouldnt take the matter any further and they promised to get a cheque out to us within a week, we have now been chasing them only to be told they want us to sign a different agreement before they issue the cheque as they made an error in the first (we cant see any error in the agreement)? do they have to honnor the firt agreement we signed?
    thankyou for any advice

Whether it was enforceable or not would depend on the amount.

If the caravan is worth say 6k and they have written 16k or 60k.....well i think that rather explains itself.

How long did you have the caravan for? Were they giving you a full refund or a partial refund?

the amount is right, its what we paid, full refund, they sold us the van knowing that we over occupied it and then told us it was dangerous for us to use :-/ so they then swapped it for a bigger van that was older and full of mould and certainly not worth the money we paid for the inital van, its taken a year of false prommises by the sales team before we finaly made a complaint to the park owner a couple of weeks ago who basicly wants us off the park (quietly) as what they have done would look very bad for the park

Perhaps you'd be better updating your original thread so that people have all the necessary info in one thread rather than having to ask the same questions again:

Unless we know what the difference between the 2 contracts is, we cannot advise.
One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.
