The debit authorisation and the ensuing credit posting have now disappeared from my online statement as if nothing had ever happened.

Mine too. They are trying to hide the evidence, lol!!
I also took 2 £20 withdrawals out yesterday which have also disappeared so fingers crossed.

Had a payment declined yesterday, and all the ATM would do was show me a balance.

Just tried to make an online payment...declined.

Just tried to use an ATM...please try again later.

Wonder what the chances are of requesting compensation?

I only have this one card, so how am I supposed to pay for anything?

I have enough petrol to do the school run today and tomorrow morning, but not to get me into town to the bank...and I don't have money to get a bus!

    Not impressed.

Tried to order items yesterday online and update my bus card but payment was refused.
Tried contacting the online banking only to listen to an online message saying having issues.
Visited a branch today and they said that the system did go down over the weekend (Friday I knew about) but it was all up and working again, well its not.
Tried websites today to order items again refused.
Been with them for almost 20 years had nothing but issues since the implementations of the Mastercards so off tomorrow to investigate anew bank, anyone have any ideas??:sad:

Agree, I have also been with them a long time (30 years) but have had problems since they sent me a mastercard (debit card) to use instead of the old Maestro.
My water company wont accept it. I have to send them a cheque. Its really not good enough, and I too am considering moving.

It sounds more like it's intermittently working, not getting better slowly.

And I tried 30 mins ago, so perhaps the system is struggling to cope at peak periods if it's already knackered.

Seriously hope that DD's are going through as my rent was due out yesterday!

Oh I hope it goes OK for you doodoot. It was bad enough for me on a Sunday but if I still couldn't get to my money now I would be in exactly the same position (except perhaps without the petrol as I had to fill up this morning.
I don't know about DD's as I had none due. Has anyone had any go through?
    Take care xx
  • Tried to make an online payment this morning - not accesible, tried the ATM 10 mins ago - not accessible - advice from YB - "do you have a YB credit card that you could use instead?"
So thats great - the system has failed and you want to charge me interest for using a different type of card - thanks for that YB -
Ever heard of disaster recovery planning?

couldn't use it saturday or sunday, went into branch today and was told the whole system has been down since saturday, and still not been fixed. I was lucky I had my halifax card as back-up!!! mines a new card, arrived last friday, not been able to use it yet. Not a good start.

Few Exaggerations and also bad advice from customer services.

There has been no service outage for "days" but intermittent issues as the bank migrate their systems to a new host.

They will have Disaster recovery systems but sometimes with such migrations you have to fix on fail.

Good example though of not putting all your eggs in one basket, need alternative ways to pay; easy enough to have another account with another provider.
