If something was drastically wrong with the brakes when sold it would have shown up before 2 months.
Car sold in good faith, your old man has clear conscience, he can sleep well.0 -
Yet another Mikey sb arguement starting.
Well done boys.0 -
What was this big job that was needed on the car 2 months after an MOT? It doesn't involve disks and pads that are "so worn out you'll die if you drive it, Ma'am" by any chance does it?0

Not really, I'm probably thinking like Joe at the moment.0 -
Did u say to them when selling the car that the car comes with any kind of warranty? was the car sold as seen? did u say to them that they wouldnt have to do any work on the car for so many months? If it ever got to the point where i have no money to eat. I would go to the police station and break something to get myself arrested. Atleast i would get a warm cell and food and if everyone who get SANCTIONED by the job center did that than the government would have to change there policy about sanctioning so many people on the work program.0

If this was anyone other than a family/friend it would be 'Sorry but the car is a used car which is sold as seen.. the problem has occured over 2 months after the purchase and I've no idea whats gone on with the car in that time?'
The only reason your even thinking about this is because of the emotional tie to the person.0 -

Funnily enough, yes it was something along those lines.... there were no advisory notes on MOT, and had work done for MOT (airbag sensor something) so surely brakes would be more important than a dashboard light staying on??? I think the garage she took it to had her on!! :mad:0
