Ebay/Post Office.......please help

Hi all,
I would be grateful if any ebay sellers who have in the past experienced what i am,or if there are any postal workers who also could advise me......
I have sold quite alot of items on ebay over the years. In October last year a buyer claimed not to have recieved an item he purchased for £12,so i refunded him.2 weeks agao the same seller made another purchase from me for £35 and again has claimed not to have recieved the item.I should have sent it recorded delivery but at the time i did'nt recognise it was the same buyer.
Anyway i suspect this buyer is claiming not to recieve items.I also believe that doing it twice to me,he could have done it many times to other sellers.
So my point is,surely if myself and other sellers are claiming for items lost whilst being delivered to his address.......the address must keep appearing on the post office radar and surely they must take some sort of action to monitor deliveries soas to catch out this bogus buyer?

I always block buyers when they have made a claim - just in case.
It does make you wonder how they get away with it BUT if the Royal Mail do not contact them - or they do and the buyer does not reply - then the buyer as done nothing wrong to Royal Mail.0 -
I have just blocked the buyer and this time i am going to distpute the claim(though i will surely lose),before giving a refund.
But my point is,surely if other people are having to claim back for 'lost' items from the Post Office for the same address.......surely the Royal Mail will notice a pattern and somehow catch the person out?0 -
You'd hope so.
Caught out the worker in the sorting office last time around here.
Assuming you have proof of postage, so the RM know you actually sent it that is, and can work out which route it may have gone on.0 -

Just in case what?
Are you suggesting that all buyers who advise a seller of non delivery of an item or indeed submit a claim for INR are lying?.
Do you feel that buyers should just willingly accept non receipt of their item and the subsequent financial loss?
I hope you don't buy on ebay because if you do, one day you may be supsected of being a liar or thief if you ever have the temerity to make an INR claim. Well that's if the seller has your somewhat jaundiced outlook.
I recently informed a seller that my item (grand sum of less than £5 inc of P&P hadn't arrived after 9 days. On the 10th day I asked for either a refund or replacement. They duly sent a slightly larger replacement item which arrived within two days.
No claim to ebay or PayPal was made by me. I thanked the seller and assured them that should the original item arrive, I would keep it and pay again. I also said I'd be happy to assist with any claim for non delivery that they made against Royal Mail.
I'd be astounded if that seller 'blocked' me from making further purchases.
That makes three times in five years that I have asked a seller about an item I haven't received within a longer than stipulated delivery time. First item, seller had forgotten to post it! Second Item delivery was delayed to to inclement weather conditions. Third item, to date I don't know why the original didn't arrive.
I'm a very bad buyer.0 -
Hi Mikey,
No what my point is..........i believe this buyer has recieved the item, and the previous item and is scamming me,and probably others too.
I'm trying to say that i have to claim back the loss from the Post Office again and i suspect others have too, from that persons address...........so surely the Post Office will eventually investiget this scam?0 -
Pseudo, its not personal, but claims, stupid questions and just a bad feeling will make me bbl someone. I would rather you couldn't buy than wanted to and trash me!0

I've never left less than positive feedback and 5*. OK, maybe I'm too soft, but I'd rather not leave any feedback at all. Although to be fair, I've only had one seller whose item, albeit well worth the money (£100's) was despatched in a filthy condition.
I just feel that at times both buyers and seller on Ebay are a little too quick to judge and don't always give the opposite buyer/seller a fair hearing.
Then again, most posting boards tend to the negative dealings and the positive aspects are accepted and not remarked upon.0 -
Mikey,
Yes of course i have proof of postage and did the previous time as well.Which of course means after refunded the buyer,i can claim for the loss from the Royal Mail.
What i keep trying to say is................i believe that on both occaisions this buyer recieved my item, kept them and also got refunded by pretending not to recieve the item. And therefore he could be doing it to other sellers.
What i keep trying to ask is,will the Royal Mail investigate his address if he keeps claiming not to recieve parcels.Any postman on here maybe?0 -
My mother had awful problems when she moved into her new place, barely anything arrived including birthday presents for me two years running (which she never believed I sent). We desperately tried to get RM interested in investigating why she couldn't get anything delivered, but they really weren't bothered at all and just said that people sending her things should make appropriate claims (which we did)I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
