Ask them for a vw or skoda convertable, as that is all an audi isDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

fair point but I can't seem to find the four wheel drive, 300+bhp convertible (or tin top) in the VW/Skoda product range.
If I find it I might even be tempted to trade in my S40 -
golf convertable is available with 1.6 , its more than a courtesy car. For crying out loud 2 weeks max. When my MK6 golf went in for body work via the insurance I got given a skoda, but hey it aint my car.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. I had a client who owned a Ferrari 360F1 whose used a specialist garage who proceeded to write it off. They offered him a fiat punto, no credit hire co would touch him as the garages insurance specifically excluded credit hire for customers vehicles
Funnily enough he was also a motor trader with a convertable0 -
I'd have thought someone owning a Ferrari would also fail the impecuniosity test for credit hire too0

Technically he did not have enough money to hire a Ferrari, which was born out by the CH company not offering a credit hire.
His only option was to pay for a Ferrari hire himself and then sue the garage quite probably for an amount to high for a county court to deal with which he could not afford.
His other option was to use one of his stock vehicles, which is what he did in the end.
The Insurers were not bound by the RTA as my client was not a TP, so it's different from the OP's situation but also in a lot of ways it's not0 -
Success, so thanks that believe like me in standing up for your rights. I have a 61 plate Porsche Boxster S parked out side. They even messed up with the delivery address so AI Claims Solutions are not exactly the sharpest knives in the draw. It's not rocket science to get the right address, seeing as the repair authorisation had the address and postcode on it that they confirmed....!!!! So go the car I asked for but now they have screwed up my day as I was kept waiting over 3 hours while they re-directed their driver to the right address, which meant I missed picking up a friend from the airport, so now expect them to offer some gesture of good will as my friend needed to get a taxi and I lost a morning of potential marketing work.

OP - if you carry on like this in your new business, the only thing you will end up with is a heart attack.
Also, how you want to go about with the roof down every single day apart from when it is raining is beyond me. Up until last year, I had owned convertibles for the previous 10 years and it's not something I could be arsed with doing.0 -

So your now in a 2 seater sports car that will cost the other parties Insurance company circa £260 a day and you want added compensation.... No wonder we all pay so much for Car Insurance! Why oh why a smaller prestige vehicle something like an Audi A3 wouldn't of done for a few days.. no one will go 'Oh look at him he isn't driving an Audi convertible!'. Just because your entitled to something doesn't mean you need it. Granted it is an inconvienience for you having your car in for repairs but I'm sure a few days in an equally nice car that isn't a soft top would of done also at far less expense. I guess it's not coming from your pocket though. =/0 -

It may do in the end by some insurers refusing to offer him insurance or only offering insurance at an inflated price.
Even if you have a non-fault accident some insurers ask the cost of your claim.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
