  • Oh wow this is a great thread- just found it! I am another who always says she has no time but then waste loads... I work full time, am trying to keep to an exercise/ training regime, keep the house reasonable and also have a bot of a social life, oh and try to find ways of making extra money.

But then I spend loads of time pointlessly surfing the net, looking at things I don't need to! Much of what I am trying to do to make money is online, but I keep finding myself clicking onto other sites and thinking 'I'll just read this'... 2 hours later I am so annoyed at myself as I haven't got anything done!!

I also planned to do my general cleaning each week, then each weekend concentrate on one room in the house for an extra good clean, the idea being that over several weeks each room is cleaned and then I will just start over again to maintain it. But have I started it yet???

I'd love to join this... right, I am going to log off now and go for a walk then later on I am going to spend my hour deep cleaning the first room on my plan... the kitchen...

Thanks Lamarsi, hope everyone has a productive day! x

    Hi everyone,

Hope you've had a good weekend. I even managed an hour yesterday and it was Mothers Dad!!!

I'm going to spend 20mins cleaning the dining table (again). I wonder if i should just throw the blooming thing out - i'm sure I've wasted hours of my life clearing it!

    Ok, will post later.

    Have a good day,

    Lala :)

  • Well, i went on strike yesterday (being mothers day n all). Unfortunately it means i have to play catch up today
So I have first load in the washer, i have done pots, cleared the kitchen table and should be sorting the dry washing. OH's turn for a lie in, so can't sort the basket full of clean washing in our room :o

Right need to devise a plan of attack that involves keeping the little ones happy too:eek:

Also need to check the weather forecast to see if I can paint the fence today too.

    Hi all, :D

Ok, so DD is back at school after being off the WHOLE of last week with a bug , so have managed to get more done.

I have spent my 60 minutes hoovering under the sofa cushions (found DS1's fone!!), hoovered the downstairs, staircase and upstairs bedrooms (which I don't like doing normally), cleaned the vegetable drawer of the fridge which had some manky things festering in it
and made some banana & choc chip muffins with some very ripe nanas.

Later on I will use up the last 3 super-ripe nanas and make a banana and honey loaf

    Laters peeps xx

    Hi everyone,

Cleared off the dining table, emptied a kitchen cupboard and only put back the stuff we need, stripped and washed bedding which is drying as I type and will be made up later (I only dry bedding in the tumble - in the name of MSE :D)! I will be crawling into bed very early this evening - lovely fresh sheets. Having got up at 5am yesterday morning to watch Formula One I think it's taken its toll. What a rock and roll lifestyle I lead ;)

    Catch up soon,

    Lala :)

  • Hi all! I went to the gym on Saturday, yesterday and today. Today, I also went shopping and picked up some microfibre towels, in the name of trying to lighten my gym bag.

Another good money-saving day here! Got a few bits of shopping to tide me over which should save me getting a proper shop this week, lengthened Ds2 school trousers for a bit more wear and returned/replaced broken microwave - making £15 profit

So my hour today has saved me about £70 in total. Result!
  • Managed 2 hours in the garden. its looking loads better and i have achieved a lot!! Feeling proud of myself but still a good few hours work out there!
