Evening everyone, just nipping in really quick to say hello, hope everyones ok:)Did really well at the £1 sale today but was out most of the day visiting various T's:o:oand got majorly trouted when paying for 23 £1 items in one T's. They said their was a limit of 10 per person:eek::eek::eek::eek:I'm afraid I got a bit grumpy and asked for the supervisor, who said sorry store policy 10 per person, so I said can you give me HO's number and I would like to phone them. She said I'll void your transaction and we'll go to CS and me being stroppy(PMT;)) said no you won't,please leave my stuff where it is while I phone them.I then told everyone behind me to go to another till as I may be a while:p:p:p:p:pSpoke to HO who said sorry some stores are doing it and it's allowed. So I stood there sorting out what I wanted and splitting it between me and my mum. Then I realised some of my stuff was 50p and the supervisor said that counts as £1 sale item. I argued that £1 was not the same as 50p and she just gave up and let it all go through to get rid of me:T:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: But all in all a fab day with loads of bargains:)Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0

i clocked a 10 items per person sign, then read it properly and it was 10 identical items not 10 maximumI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. I didn't think you'd be that happy when I wasn't here...
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the vast majority would disagree with the original post, even if was meant to be a joke (which I presume it was..)
You do a fantastic job of keeping us all in line, and it is muchly appreciated :T:T...those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

Good for you Tweets. I put up with an alcoholic (who wouldn't admit he had a problem) for 12 years before I finally couldn't stand any more.
Freddiesmum, Tweets is right.....until your OH admits he has a problem, he's not going to change.....and of course it's far easier to blame everyone else for their problems rather than take responsibility for their behaviour.
My ex wasn't physically abusive, but drink came before everything. Every night he went to the pub. Rare family days out with the girls had to involve a pub, holidays abroad meant me on the beach, in the pool, or in bed with the children while he propped up the bar. He even left me alone with a newborn baby a couple of hours after I came out of hospital to go to the pub.
We had settees set alight when he fell asleep drunk with a cigarette in his hand.....and me and his children asleep upstairs.
Peeing the bed was a common occurence as was peeing on the childrens toys. Absolutely revolting.
The final straw was when I went out on a works do much to his disgust as it meant he had to stay in. This was before the days of mobile phones so I no way of being contacted
I got home to find the house was empty. He'd drunk himself into a stupor and my eldest daughter who was 10 at the time couldn't rouse him so she carried my younger daughter who was just 18 months old to my mums....a 15 minute walk away....in their nighties at 9 oclock at night.
He knew I would go ballistic so the coward had gone home to mummy's rather than face me.
It probably was a good thing he'd gone.....I think I would have killed him if he's been there.
But that was it....he knew I'd never have him back after that.
After we divorced he used to see the girls on a weekend....until he took them to the pub one sunday (surprise surprise) and forgot he had them and went home, leaving them behind.
I told him that under no circumstances was he to take them anywhere he was drinking ever again. He never asked to see his younger daughter since. Has never sent her so much as a birthday or Christmas card. Didn't pay maintenance, even though he had a succesful business. He now see's his eldest, but wouldn't know our youngest daughter if he passed her in the street.
Think very carefully Freddiesmum if you want to stay with someone with a serious drink problem.
I look back and think of the years I wasted, thinking he would change.....:(
Saying all that, I've been married to a really lovely second hubby for 15 years who is the complete opposite of the first one!Freddiesmum he will never own up to having a drink problem. He won't be able to see it drinking will come naturally. Yes everything will be yours or DS problem or even the dogs animals etc it was the same in my house with ex HH horrible hubby.
Is he nice as pie when he's sober ?
Wont tell you what i put up with but it's not nice. Pm me if you like.
Please dont put up with it for a long while like i did he wont change. My ex an alcoholic now and i have nothing to do with him.
I thought i would not be able to cope on my own and that it was all my fault he drank told lies and we never had any money even tho i worked 12 hour days
When he came home and said he had something to tell me and had lost his job that was the final straw i plucked up courage from somewhere and told him i had something to tell him and he could get out .:) Give him a week to go. He went with no arguments and it was the best thing i ever did.
I did struggle at begining because i was left with money worries bills not paid when i thought they had i had given him money to pay them
Had to pack in my well earned job to look after DS but it was all worth it. OMG i am sat here thinking well done gal.
I sorted money worries out got divorced and have never looked back. Hope i not wrote TMI sorry guys and Gals if i have.
Big hug freddies mum i know you need one. Chin up gal
I was only going to browse really quickly so this is definately my last post of the night but just had to add I too was married to an alcoholic and it took a lot of courage to leave but itwas the best thing I ever did.Like Purdita my ex's whole life revolved around the pub, I too went on holidays with my ex and spent the whole time sitting on my own while he propped up the bar, he used to pee everywhere and it's disgusting but that would include the bed, the dvd recorder. And it's true, they never own up to having a drink problem and everything is always your fault and never their's. And I used to constantly make excuses for him, but even I never realised the extent of his problem until I left him and then people would tell me that he was nipping in the pub at 10 in the morning in his coffee break at work!I ended up seeing a counsellor for a few weeks after I left him as I felt so responsible for him and felt a total failure that I couldnt make my marriage work, but your marriage with an alcoholic will never work until he accepts he has a problem and is prepared to work at it:(Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -
Right, I'm off to return my T's sale purchases from during the week (3 different receipts from 2 different stores!) and put the stuff I'm keeping away, then and only then can I let today's purchases out of their bags, it would all get FAR too confusing otherwise!!
I was  the other day when I filled up my 206 (the light had been on for about 5-10 miles) and it actually hit the £60 mark! I mean, I SHOULDN'T be surprised, each time I do a complete tank-fill I've noticed it slowly creeping up the 50s but £60?!!! AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
Try driving a people carrier my car takes well over 100pound to fill!:mad:. Luckily i walk everywhere so car doesnt get used that much only on trips that i really can not walk to so only fill up once a month at that.0
