Sending cuddles, getwell wishes and lots of good luck sprinkled with fairy dust to ChelseaGirl, bensonsmum, Purdita, Snap-ant, toni_, Ilovemykids and Caz :A:A:A:A:A:A
Chin up chickens, keep smiling, draw strength from the well wishers and friends you have on the thread and here's hoping you're all feeling millions better very soon :Axxx
Thankyou Tinyshoes for answering my question about the £1 clothing sale:TI'm now pondering whether I could have got what I did cheaper doh!!I didn't have any time to scan things before queueing up to get them reduced so I might have overspent
Ahhh well, not much I can do now but nevertheless, the leather boots I got are amazing and I'm chuffed with them
Scamps yes Honeycomb TCO's are 1p, it seems to be the only thing I can find now (well and stacks of single big purple bars)....they're everywhere in my locals! I've done the rounds of Brist0l stores on Saturday so if you want to know about any store in particular PM me
:rotfl:I thought TPO's were Terry's popping orange!:o:o:o
On the subject of thanking posts, I thank posts that I agree with and that make me smile not just ones that I find helpful and also if someone is ranting/expressing how ill or unhappy they are, I think it's nice for them to know I've read their post and am thinking of them. I don't think there's a right or wrong use of the thank button but I do find it sad when someone goes to the effort of posting a great find, that people don't express their gratitude.
Oh and QOC, you're absolutely welcome, glad you had a productive trip and managed to escape the mad house for a bit! :Axx
Feeling pretty rubbish todayHave had a rash on my face for over 2 years now and tried every cream going. Steroid cream works a little but then stops working! It's so itchy and bright red and I'm really embarassed by it
Last time I went I got told it's what's called a 'butterfly rash' which is a symptom of Lupus that I've never experienced until now appoarently. But I don't believe it is because otherwise the cream wouldn't work. So I'm off to the docs later to plead my case again and maybe ask for referral to a dermatologist....another app to add to the ever growing list!:(
My grandfather has lost all use of his legs in the last couple of days and fell down half the stairs. We think it's to do with the high doses of meds which are incidently doing zilch for his Alzheimers. He can't sit still for 5 mins, s up at 3am in the morning trying to get out the house, getting increasingly aggressive and it's so horrid to see. My poor Mum is at her wit's end with it and crying all the time, she's physically and emotionally exhausted after everything that's happened over the last 9 years. There are so many times I just want to run away, the only thing keeping me here is Mum, I'm trying to be strong for her but I'm struggling to even stay strong for myself.
My Father is the most selfish, nasty piece of carp going and is draining me of any energy I have yet I can't leave my Mum to pick u[ the pieces, she's nowhere near strong enough. I feel completely and utterly lost in life, I haven't a clue what to do and I'm scared of applying for jobs as I can't deal with anymore rejection. My sister who is a carbon copy of our Father and who I have no relationship with whatoever is off to Florida with our Aunty and cousins on Thursday...I wasn't even invited or appologised to for not being invited. I did everything I could to hold our family together even though I was sufferring terribly (with Anorexia) and nobody wanted to listen. !!!!!! it sucks being invisible to your own family, all I've ever done is be ill and they treat me like I'm the devil!:eek::(:eek::( I don't want anything to do with them after what they've put me through but it doesn't mean it stops me from feeling worthless.
Sorry for the rant I just had to get it out!
:Axx
Thankyou!and ditto!
xx
don't know quite what to say reallybut sending hugs and thinking of you.
I know what its like to be left out of things and the feelings that go with it,but please don't feel worthlessit truly is their loss!
You are worth you're weight in gold :A You're 'name' is one that I have always recognised as being helpful/friendly/caring and I am sure I'm not only speaking for myself!
when you see the doctor say something like 'I would like you to refer me' steer away from 'can you' 'will you' i.e don't give him a chance to 'get out of it' hope that makes sence
tell him how it really is making you feel and stand you're ground.I know thats easier said than done especially how you are feeling (it has taken me years to put thinks like this into action, and still struggle today)

queen_of_cheap wrote: »yay! now my £50 LTS is showing as redeemed too!
Fudge Cake- you may be plenty of things, but worthless is certainly not one of them. Always carry in the back of your mind that what comes around goes around, and they will reap what they have sown. In the meantime, just concentrate on you and your mum. You can both gain strength from each other, and can then use that strength independently of each other. You will both find your inner strength from somewhere. It just happens and you wont even know it until it has happened xx
Yahooooo well done on the LTS vouchers!! :j
Thanks lovely, some very wise words :AxxxxFudge Cake, I am fine, thanks. The swelling has gone down lots, still taking the antibiotics.
Toni, well done on your cake.

Sometimes it helps to write down exactly what you want to say to the doctor, so then if they fire loads of questions at you, you will not get too flustered and forget everything you wanted to say HTH0
