I didn't have any time to scan things before queueing up to get them reduced so I might have overspent
Ahhh well, not much I can do now but nevertheless, the leather boots I got are amazing and I'm chuffed with them
Feeling pretty rubbish todayHave had a rash on my face for over 2 years now and tried every cream going. Steroid cream works a little but then stops working! It's so itchy and bright red and I'm really embarassed by it
Last time I went I got told it's what's called a 'butterfly rash' which is a symptom of Lupus that I've never experienced until now appoarently. But I don't believe it is because otherwise the cream wouldn't work. So I'm off to the docs later to plead my case again and maybe ask for referral to a dermatologist....another app to add to the ever growing list!:(
Sorry for the rant I just had to get it out!
:Axx
Fudge I don't think you will have paid over the odds for anything some of my bits were marked higher but scanned cheaper. And my 50p boots aren't leather as much as I would like them to be.
Can't believe your skin problem sounds so much like mine. I had a rash on my face for around 7 years so the skin has been left quite thin from the constant healing. Creams helped a bit but the doctor prescribed me with oxytetracycline from memory, think for acne though the rash looked nothing like it, this would clear it up fairly quickly. First year was on them for at least a month, might have even been 3 months first time and then every few months would have to take a course again.
Eventually the gaps between taking any meds got bigger, I guess yearly to 18 months and then I have not had to take anything for at least 5 years now. Have never had it diagnosed properly but GP did wonder if it was a kind of Rosacea, not sure if spelt properly, but definitely as you describe a butterfly rash. I was tested for Lupus too when I was referred to consultant with my joint pain but thankfully only osteoarthritis. Though not brilliant diagnosis was relieved.
I find things can irritate my face quite easily so tend to wear makeup rarely and wash with only water but the rest of my body copes fine now with anything I throw at it. The worst thing is my nose always goes very red just before a flare up and it looks like I have been drinking and I hardly every touch a drop and if I do I shine like a beacon, I guess the blood vessels are so close to the surface. The cold and hot weather are my worst enemy.
And don't worry about all your rantings, all friends here and ready to listen.0 -
Bummer was going to get some more today. Ill have to wait. So tempting to just return it and keep the voucher. But im running low on powder
Its still a bargain even at this price . Youre still only paying £3 a box for 38 washes. You can pay that for a small box. You just need to buy 2 boxes instead of one if your using a conditional spend voucher.0 -
Fudge Cake - karma hon. Just keep positive that karma will bite some day. I've seen it happen and I'm clinging to it at the minute. Thank you for the kind words as well
At last, something to be happy for today:
£125 for Love 2 Shop, £25 Red Letter Day and 2 goodie bags - all redeemed :j
I'll believe it when I see it but that's £125 towards a bed or sofa, both of which my back would be grateful for. I've moved the thermostat as per advice and double checked the meter and my one previous bill and it seems everything is ok. The DD was covering usage in Sept, Oct & Nov so given winter was Dec, Jan & Feb (well if you can call it winter) hopefully the usage was down to it being on more over the colder months.
Feeling a bit better now. Horrible seeing so many people going through so much. Makes me feel like I've nothing to complain about as at least I have my family & my health. My heart goes out to all those who are suffering with either of those0 -

Fudge Cake- you may be plenty of things, but worthless is certainly not one of them. Always carry in the back of your mind that what comes around goes around, and they will reap what they have sown. In the meantime, just concentrate on you and your mum. You can both gain strength from each other, and can then use that strength independently of each other. You will both find your inner strength from somewhere. It just happens and you wont even know it until it has happened xxI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. It's awful when there's a rift in the family, I think everyone on MSE can vouch for that.... This is why I use the sentence often
"Friends are the family to choose for ourselves"
And it very true...
You not on your own, but I know, sometimes its nice to have a cuddle and for someone to say how proud they are of you...
well Fudge... WE are proud of you and here's a :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: xxx
