I would be annoyed too, I know the staff get perks but that is a pet hate of mine and really pees me right off:eek:

Typical of T's not having one policy for all, the staff in my local Extra are not allowed to buy whoopsies.

Interesting point on 1p items, I asked someone I know who works on the tills at my T's if there is a policy for items that scan for 'small amounts' and if they spot one what are they supposed to do. His response was if it scans, it goes through at that price :D He said they never know about them and he recently got lucky with some dog toys that were SEL £3/£4 and went through at 1p. We don't have a scanner at this store so can't check which ones these might be. Not sure which store said that they had a message every day about 1p items and all staff knew of them, not around here anyway. He said they keep quiet about them not even telling each other and try and remember what went through so they can go and get some at the end of their shift.

Also whilst talking about T's bot being consistent has anyone else noticed that just recently more and more prices seem to be different for the same items. Travelling around a few local stores I am amazed at the difference in prices
If it wasn't for blinds it'd be curtains for all of us:dance:

Thank goodness you found out what it was. We had something similiar years ago in our old house, DH took out an airbrick to do some work and forgot about it. Months later my frontroom developed a disgusting smell like gas, I moved me and DS into my mums for a few days as I was convinced the house was going to blow up. DH got a plumber round who charged the earth and said he'd fixed the gas leak. Next day it was even worse so DH pulled up the floor boards only to find a dead rat under the floorboards with loads of rubbish. It had been pulling rubbish under their into it's nest and then died!!!!:eek::eek::eek:

That make me feel bit better Nikki, if you had just one. There was only evidence of tiny nest started so hoping ours may only have been a lone one, we think it had died because it looks like it was eating the insulation. OH is going to get some of that expanding foam tomorrow and fill the gap between us and next door at least then we are limiting any problem to us. I didn't have to go up there but OH did ask if I could smell it when I passed plastic bags up but lucky for me I couldn't. We just can't work out how it got up there. I'm just so pleased for once that OH has not yet finished the bathroom otherwise without the gaps in the ceiling for the light fittings we would not have had the fly problem and never known. See what tomorrow brings.

Still not caught up any of fridays or saturdays chat, did I miss anything major. Sounds like I missed some fun last night?

Evening all. Just been catching up on all the rat stories! In our old house, we kept hearing a scurrying noise above our bedroom at night, assumed it was a mouse. Turned out to be a squirrel and by the time we found it, it was dead and covered in maggots - gross. Hubby picked it by its tail, with a pair of pliers and lets just say rigor mortis had set in!! We laugh about it now but at the time it was horrid. What a lovely story I told you all before bed...
