i didn't get the oct box so the blush and eyeshadow are new for me and i will use them. the nail polish is a nice colour too. if it had been sent out as an original box people would have raved about it, just like they did with the original boxes the replacements were in. tbh even if they cant shift what they have had repeated on beauty box swaps then someone will love it as a present.
I'm just a bit annoyed that carmine knew that they'd sold out yet still carried on taking orders, didn't tell anyone anything and then recycled products without giving anyone the options of a replacement, canceled order or just move the order to the march box. have you seen the really sarcastic "we thought people were signing up to a surprise box not for one particular box!" comments they made? they know full well loads of people watch the box and buy as one off if they like it because they usually have tons of them left.
my blush is clearly seconds too, the machine has got putting the packaging together slightly wrong so the picture and ingredients list been cut off slightly at one side. ah well. only paid £5 for the box :rotfl:
LOL i know....im surprised they are being so sarky! Woman are not known to like the art of sarcasm......i signed up for the ten pound glossybox aswell.........because i clearly couldnt resist the Harrods thing LOL!
So two Carmines, Amarya and Glossybox to come this month....bring em on haha

Oh! I had no idea that all this had happened with the Carmine box. What a shame. I've been subbed with them from the beginning so got the original Feb box. The replacements sound good - I love the Frat Boy blush and the Daniel Sandler eye shadow (I received both in an early box, maybe my first?)
I thought this was a great box. The previous box had been a bit disappointing but this made up for it. I would have preferred different variations (I got a very pale NV and prefer darker colours, I received the Rose Otto shower gel and prefer the other one and I got the leopard print Steam Cream and would have loved the Earth one) but overall I was still really happy with it. So many full size products! :T
Itzybitzy - I've signed up for the Harrods box too...0 -

i got the harrods GB too :rotfl: hoping its decent.
tbh, the only box i actually look forward to getting is amarya. all the rest have just been underwhelming and seem to think we'll just carry on buying each month even with terrible service, outright lies over delivery, sending bloggers amazing products and messing us around over products. some of them seem to be really struggling over getting decent samples too. i wouldn't be surprised if more of them stop like FU soon. JB must be being propped up by the french arm now, the UK is getting worse with each box!0 -

I did too! Only they made the announcement the day after I'd ordered, so I still had time to cancel, which I did. To be fair, the replacement box does look like a good deal, I just didn't NEED any of it (didn't 'need' the Steam Cream either but oh well!)

I'll be honest. All these beauty boxes are a bit of a joke when it comes to customer service. That is why I discontinued all my subscriptions, I'd rather take that money and buy myself something I'll use with it and not have to deal with the BS.No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries Challenge

I guess I should post this as well in this thread as it's a new month.
Only 5 days left to sign up for the Secret Easter "egg" swap. Here are the details from my previous post
The Easter egg swap will be modeled after the secret santa that trudij & others organised The minimum would be £5 again (there is no maximum), and of course it is recommended to stash shop first (as long as it is in re-giftable condition) as that's why we all joined the challenge.
If you are interested, please email me your
1. name (forum name also),
2. address, and
3. any allergies/strong dislikes, and if you'd like, list a few things that you are into (i.e. nail polish, lotions, etc. etc.).
4. Please include the name of the person that you had in the secret santa, and I will make sure you don't get the same person twice.
Sign-ups start today and will end on March 8th. At which time I will email everyone their person to send too. Partners will be paired up using random.org. Please have all packages posted so that your buddy will get their gift before Easter.
***Please hold onto your proof of posting or recorded delivery receipt in the event that the package goes missing*****
If anyone has any questions, comments or suggestions, please don't hesitate to email me.
Hope everyone will join!No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries Challenge
