As predicted - one of each bottle from Glamour mag - and two moisture surges with Cosmo. not decided what to do with these though - mum is making interested noises...
used the shampoo, conditioner and the styling stuff of the new shampoos tonight - not sure about the smell, though it doesnt smell on my hair as much as it seemed like it might. Jury is out on it at the moment - the main reason i bought them is so that i have some to keep in my overnight bag though - and they are perfect for that

Evening,
I am definitely in again for March (does that mean that winter is gone????). I didn't have many UU in February because all my splutterers kept on spluttering but should get a few more in March now.
My goal for the month is to buy nothing toiletry related, I have spares of everything that I buy regularly like toothpaste and deo so no excuses!
I will have to catch up with the thread tomorrow now, I don't have time to read 4 pages before bed!
Night all!No more buying unnecessary toiletries 2018
35 UU / 13 unnecessary ins0 -
Back again for another month.. Thank you Itzybitzy, hello to all newbies, do stay around as this is one of the best threads there is for not just using toiletries, but for offering support in all sorts of ways.
(Trudi, I managed to spot what the karma was, impressed with the power of this thread.... I knew something had happened when I saw you singing on FB...)
2 GAs. A Champney's bath milk that I couldn't use, arthritis makes getting up out of a bath v.tricky and I far prefer showers anyway. Also a leave-in conditioner that did nothing for me. (Herbal Essences Beautiful Ends, just too heavy for my very fine hair.) Recipient very happy and bathroom slightly less cluttered.
It's a couple of weeks since the John Frieda foam took five minutes to dye my hair dark brown and it does look a little better now.
What still looks naff is the near black hair from last March's Clairol Medium Brown foam.
My hair isn't two tone quite, but still too dark on the hair from back then. I'll get as much as possible trimmed off soon. The conclusion is that foam colourants are far too effective on fine hair and possibly other types too . My experiences are repeated all over the Net when I've taken a look.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
UU: Elemis Quiet Mind bath elixir - WBA, this smells lovely and has no SLS in it. only problem is it doesn't foam too much and for the effect of a nice smelling bath it'd be cheaper to buy a bottle of lavender oil.
also, looked at the ingredients for the percy & reed freebie hair mask, there is more fragrance in it than all of the natural ingredients, including the ones the blurb points us too and its pretty high up the list meaning its a major component overall. debating wether to use it or just GA.0 -
Hey lovelies. I hope you're all okay.
I received a voicemail earlier from Medequip saying that they'll be delivering the equipment tomorrow that the OT ordered for me. That was so quick! I really wasn't expecting it for months. It will be nice to be able to sit on the bath board to have a shower (we have a shower over the bath and I can't stand up for long periods) and to be able to get myself in and out of the bath instead of asking DH to do it. I might still need help with drying and things (I'm ashamed to admit that =/) but hopefully it will make my life easier.:)2019 Wins
