Or you can use an alternate route, by ignoring you are accepting the liability of this trumped up invoice, you have an opportunity to name the other driver and it passes to them. They can then have the option of appealing this through the company and if refused through popla that is meant to be independent appeals. It depends how you and the other driver wishes to handle this.
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

    You either:

    (i) ignore it, and all the letters that will follow. Eventually they will go away.

    Or:

(ii) you appeal first to Excel, and then when they reject your appeal, you appeal to POPLA, and when they reject your appeal, you just ignore everything else.

This latter is the "mystery option", because POPLA only went live yesterday and we've no idea what a parking company might do following a failed appeal to POPLA. They might move straight to a court action, we just don't know at this stage.

The advantages of the "appeal" route are that (i) you might win (ii) we all get to learn a bit more about it and (iii) the parking company gets to pay the appeals service £27+VAT.

It should be clear by now that the "appeal" route is the option for awkward bu99ers who want to put up a fight against these toe-rags, and don't mind being a guinea pig!

  • i sent them a email asking for pictures, but in return they want my name and address as they say they reply to all correspondence in writing. now i dont want to do this as then they will have my details and it will hold me liable for it, i dont care if they pay to get my details from DVLA. but apperently this law of theirs just came in to action from 1st october 2012 that all vehicles must be parked clearly within parking lines. this is b******t guys. if i ignore then wont i get summoned to court??

    Law? Parking outside white lines?

In their own imaginations only I'm afraid. Its not a law, same as wearing a yellow jumper on a Tuesday isn't law either.

They won't take anyone to court for this, the laughter from the judge would be too much for them to bear.

What on earth did you do that for? Just ignore them.

Vehicles must be parked within white lines by law? Complete and utter cobblers, and if Excel told you that you must report them to the DVLA. That should suffice to get them a three-month ban from accessing DVLA records.

As stated above, you could try the new appeals process, but frankly your grasp of what's going on seems so tenuous you would be safer simply ignoring.

I must agree with the above, you are going to the scammers and asking what should I do ?
