Awwwwww how helpful of you Shirley!
Ciara, my arms would have fallen off before i got home with that little load.
Pippo - I can totally understand what you mean. Not studying pyschology would you believe, had that question many a time! Education equals debt! lol
What would motivate you do you think? Sorry for asking so outright, I get far too interested in these type of things. I should really be a life coach.
Got to get my own life sorted out first though. Watch this space!!!
Glad everyone is having, what appears to be a productive weekend though.
Well done on the Pepsi Max situation! Shows just how much just a little bit of thinking can actually save you!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

Guess I'm still looking for the motivational factor,
but this challenge is coming close.
I start out each day with really good intentions, but usually it goes downhill rapidly from there!
However I am determined to keep up with our Lent challenge and perhaps if I am successful it will spur me on to bigger & better things!0 -
excellent stuff!
Thats what I like to hearIf you need a little voice in your ear, just let me know!
Well done PAP, exercise is always a good thing, health wise and for general mood too!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

a completely spend free weekend for me too! actually WALKED to my parents and back again (ok it's only a couple of miles but so easy to jump in the car) ... and apart from reducing my carbon footprint this also saved me from putting petrol in the car (sneaky i know 'cos this will now be left down to the BF as he'll be driving it next!!).
Seaxywn ... the flapjacks (2 batches, slightly different) were a success ... how do i PM you? Never done that before.
And can anyone explain to me some of the abbreviations that are used ... DS ... DD ... is this Debt Son and Debt Daughter etc?
So apart from my "tights episode" on Thursday I still haven't spent any money on "don't need but wants" or "don't need, don't want but gets anyway" and it's absolutely saving me a bundle.

Hiya
I've been on a course for two days and took lunch with me so I didn't have to pay any money out. I drank water from the drinks dispenser though I was desperate for a diet coke this afternoon I didn't! I even went so far as saying I couldn't book on the next course until April though I didn't say why! So, still not spent on anything I didn't need to spend on. How many days have we got left?January budget

Hi brassiclint,
Well done you for walking two miles - definitely hardcore moneysaving.
And glad the flapjacks were a success. To PM me the recipe click on my name next to this post, you will get a mini menu including 'send a PM to this person'. Click on that and it will bring up a screen to type a message. Looking forward to it!
Someone else (LoftyGirl? something like that) has also sent me a recipe and I'm looking forward to trying them out.
And well done LJD1 and everyone else who is doing so well on this challenge!
Thanks for the census link ShirleyPark. I tried it but it was a bit frustrating so I've registered for 14 days free trial at ancestry.co.uk - you have to enter a card number to register for the free trial which is a bit scary.
