eBay advice needed PLEASE PLEASE!!

I recently sold a memory card, only to receive an email saying that Royal Mail has contacted him and said that the item was lost/damaged. I filled out the online loss/damaged form on royal mail and sent it off. But now the buyer is harrasing me to refund him entirely straight away. I said no and i would when royal mail confirm that the item was damaged etc. Is this right? if he gets arsey do i need to refund the postage as well (legally speaking)? He has also threated ebay and paypal, what will they do? ANY ADVICE NEEDED, THANKS!!

i am a 100% seller with 185 transaction, he is 9 feedback score with 1 negative!

    how would they know?
    Get some gorm.
  • he said that they left a plastic envelope in his letter box with my damaged EMPTY envelope in
  • Hi John, I received a message from Royal mail today saying that the item you sent in a white enveloppe was damaged whilst in their custody. You will have to file a Damaged claim form. Cause there is no way I am accepting this.
I understand Royal Mail services is beyond your control but only you can file a claim and give the proofs out.
    Let me know asap,
  • Ask for proof, its not unreasonable to send you a photo !

Ask him if he can take a pic or scan the envelope as proof this has really happened.

If he can, then I'd refund him and take it up with Royal Mail :)

  • Hey, Eventually you will get the money back for the item. Can I have my money back so that I can
buy another memory card. Also email paypal say you want to refund the money as I don't want the money to be less that I paid you for(paypal charges buyers) Refunding the money will avoid a loss.
    Thank you
    Regards
  • I understand its not your fault. But you as a seller has more right in chasing up the item as YOU sent the item. You contact ebay and Royal Mail. I've been really patient about all this but now I really want a memory card. You can get your money back on ebay and Royal Mail.
I don't want to get more involved in that. I am NOT ready to lose my money so you either contact paypal and ebay by tomorrow. If not then I will do so.I don't mean to be rude in any way.
    Regards
  • by the way, the last few posts are the emails he sent me over the last few days!!!
