Oh dear - just seem to have lost my mojo completly this month I have managed 3NSD's & I was hoping I would manage to hit my target easily - ha!
I just seem to have been spending small (necessary) amounts nearly every day. Need to give myself a good talking to and PLAN so I do all my spendy's on one or two days.
Looking on the bright side its been a beautiful afternoon here today & a walk round the 'estate' has shown that quite a few of my camellias have burst into bloom - amazing what a little bit of sunshine will do, I'll try to send some up to you Rising
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle
  • Hi everyone

So, fame at last - I feel that I should be posting something witty and funny on the thread now that we've been mentioned in the email, but unfortunately my wit and humour are already asleep tonight.

I've managed to bag nsd 9 today - still mainly due to being too busy at work. I'm at 4 in a row so if I can get through tomorrow, I'll reach my 5 in a row target. No spends planned, but you never know...

Good evening folks from a still just about on the lent wagon red:eek:
I may last the entirety of lent, but the way the month is going, I very much doubt it, as work is flat out and it's St Patricks day on Saturday:D

I hope everyone else on the lent wagon is coping without whatever they've given up. Anyone who knows me thinks it's a miracle that it's over 3 weeks since I had wine:rotfl:

On a positive note, I'm declaring NSD11 for today and have been miserly this week:D

I hope you are all well.:)
If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

    £2 savings jar £300:D

    HE-LOW-OOOOOOOOOOO :j

Tis I *lifts spex to show squinty eyes, but drops them on to nose OUCH!*.... BMF. I've finally managed some poota-time, so thought I'd pop in for a chat. So! What's the story, mornin' glory :D

For my part, Mutha is on the mend albeit a lengthy process. We go for the results of her latest scans next week, so who knows? I may be back for a while if they're looking good :T There have been no more symptoms to cause us to worry, but obviously the docs will have a better idea of what's going on. Her GP has mentioned some concerns (muvva didn't hear that bit Thank the Stars, so :shhh: or her over-active worry-wort will go into hyper-drive & she WILL have a stroke :( ) & I'm under no illusions that it will get any better any time soon.

My kitchen has been done--few minor tweaks to iron out with the contractors next week--& aim'a curtun huntun with a vengence  Have you seen the ridiculous sizings they do!!! Do manufacturers actually measure any windows before deciding on widths or lengths? And fabric costs are  before looking at heading tape or whatever else is needed, IF you can find somewhere that sells stuff now.
There's some designs I've seen online (how easy is it to buy from the States--exchange rates & so forth?) but I'll have a look around the numerous curiosity emporiums (aka cha-ity shops ;) ) too as I prefer to see things like that in the flesh so to speak, before investing hard cash in something that's going to play a big part of everyday for the next x years.

To be back on topic  I keep the faith when I can. It's very much day-to-day with Mum--we can discuss going out tomorrow but then when it comes, we often don't go :(--so I don't plan spends now, but rejoice on those days my dosh dozes by my side :D

So Good Luck Peeps, & I hope I can pop in again soon. Ta-Ra Chucks x

    Hi all,

Walking down the red carpet to join you on the thread this morning. Good job hair and make up are done :rotfl::rotfl:.

I am going to have a NSD. Oh yes I am! No one will stop be from bagging #6/10. I'm working (er, will be in a minute) from home so no need to go near any horrible shops. Even made myself a pretend latte!

Have a good and frugal Thursday everyone!:D
