Miele up-right hoover £159 from £299

Same here.......
2 cats, one teenager and I am a fulltime childminder, hoover everyday and still no need to change bag after 3 weeks!
Loving my Miele :j0 -
Thanks for the above. So it seems that a Miele bag needs changing a lot less frequently than a Dyson or Vax needs emptying....
Also, would be grateful for views on upright v cylinder as we've always had upright Dyson or Vax hoovers, but the Miele cylinder ones seem to be cheaper than their upright ones. We have a bungalow with a lot of floor area, mainly hard floors.
Thanks again!0 -
Cannot comment on the cylinder, but the upright I have is the same model in 1st post. It has a dial to turn to select "smooth" surface (for hardfloors) and 2 carpet settings (low pile and deep pile) and it seems to vary the suction power according to the job it is set for. The motor is a lot quieter too, which is great as I can use it downstairs without waking the kids when they are in bed. They are heavy, but that is a reflection of build quality IMHO.0

If it helps I don't find my cylinder heavy going at all as it's only the tube bit that you're moving around when vaccing. I'm so tempted to buy a new one at these cheap prices but only because my "old girl" is looking a bit battered. My DD could then have my old one -lol0 -
Currys price match and give 10% of the difference. Just got mine delivered.0

I got one on Tuesday and have given my DD my old Miele.
This one is so much lighter. Suction wise it's pulling up carpet and lino if I have it on full power-lol0 -
