I am tempted but £18 for 2 bag refills is offputting. Has anyone tried recylcing these?
Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!
  • Is it £10 for 4 bags? Going on the link next to the page. Im not sure which ones it would take. I'm tempted too but would like to know how much they are.

I am desperate for a new hoover and spent last night researching and getting totally fed up and confused. And bored :rotfl::rotfl:. Have had 3 Dysons but this last one has only lasted a few years and suction now is a bit rubbish. Is this Miele really good would you say?? We've got a mixture of hard floors and carpets.

I've just been researching bags too (sad I know) and you can get 4 bags (Miele) for £8.99 on Amazon or 10 unbranded bags (that also have good reviews) for £15.40. Also Amazon.

My DH just said that he thought bags had less suction but I think he might have been brainwashed by Dyson............

My Miele cylinder is 17 or 18 years old and still sucks like new:D Will pull lino up in the kitchen if I have it on full power.

That's made my mind up, thanks, will order one now I think.... if it lasts as long as yours I'll be well pleased..
  • I was lucky enough to get one of these from Argos a few weeks ago for £159.99

This is the best hoover I have ever had. Yes it is a bit heavy but the electric cord is really long. It is a joy to use and I must have hoovered everything in the house! :D

I bought spare bags and filters from ebay and although not Miele branded they are identical. Cost £15 for 8 bags and two sets of filters.

You can extend the warranty to 10 years FOC as well :)http://www.miele.co.uk/warranties-promotions/Default.aspx

Only thing I would say with mine is that I've found the non Miele bags are just not as good.
  • After more dysons than I could count, I bought the Miele s7 (cat&dog) all I can say is it's fantastic, I've had it 2 yrs, recently had a problem with it rang Miele they collected it & returned it within a week ,at no charge and it's like a brand new cleaner!!! I would have no hesitation in recommending the brand.

Thank you for the additional info, definately think it is worth extending the warranty. Just topping up my John Lewis order with pillows etc, it'll be like a major spring clean in our house!!!!

Just one thing, our hard floors are all stone (like paving slabs) do you think the Miele will be alright with that??? Can't be any worse than the Dyson surely?
