Upon rereading the letter. it lists 10 accounts and numbers them from 1 to 10.
This letter only seems to apply to one account which they have said is the oldest . In the following format . Apart from that 1 account that has a decision upheld and then the offer all the others have no information in the columns (see Below)
1 <Account number> ...............Upheld.................£500
2 <Account number>
3<Account Number>
4<Account Number>
5<Account Number>
etc - >10
..................................................................Offer Total £500
This does lead me to believe that I will be getting subsequent letters for the other accounts with their decision, or is this wishfall thinking?
Regarding DSAR If I have paid £10 I should get the information but have not received anything yet0 -

Depends if they cashed the cheque. They have 40 days to respond to a DSAR and you can chase them when you get to that date
Other accounts - do you mean you had 10 different and indepedent credit cards? If so, depends if they had PPI. If you had 10 cards over a period where they were all the same account then they'd normally just do one payment for the lotSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

I was wondering if you can help ?
In 2006 I had car finance and with that I had ppi on it as well . Over the years the finance was paid then my circumstances changed and I fell behind with the payments .This happened at the very end of the finance in the last 6 months of it .
Jump forward about 2 years and I had a letter from the car finance company saying they had viewed the ppi and they had miss-sold me the ppi and they would reimburse me in the near future .However they decided the ppi would be used to pay off the outstanding finance and I would be receiving nothing .
I remembered reading though that "when the ppi had been miss-sold" I didn't have any arrears and I argued this and they said my issues were irrelevant . I want to know whose correct . If the company admitted they had miss-sold the policy and then kept the money to pay off the arrears or was I correct?0 -

If you were in arrears then yes they can offset any PPI refund against that debt (including any money written off). You should receive any excess if the refund paid off the debtSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

If you had any amount written off as part of an agreed settlement or defaulted but they did not chase you they are allowed to use the PPI refund against that unpaid/written off debt.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). We had a substantial loan from this company in the early 1990's and was forced to take out PPI.
Contacted them last year regarding this, was told that Ocean Finance was sold off/dissolved and no longer exists but Ocean was now the company !!
Not sure if anyone has had any dealings with this company ??0 -

The company you refer to accepts no liability for mis-selling by the original firm.0 -
Ocean Finance weren't regulated either, so it would have been a hard slog for 99% probability of rejection.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

I've just received a refusal to pay ppi from MBNA.
The reason given is that they have sent me a letter in 2013 which I am now out of time limit to reply to.
However I've managed to ascertain from MBNA that this was sent to the last address they had on record for me (when I was a customer in the early '00s. This happens to be my parents old address)
Needless to say they don't live there anymore and the letter never magically found its way to me.
Surely this is unacceptable? MBNA can't exonerate themselves from miss-selling because they sent a letter to a dead end address surely?0 -
They attempted to get in touch with you using the last address you provided them.
They aren't to know you moved, and they carried out their CCL properly.
You can ask them nicely to consider your complaint again in view of the fact you moved, but they don't have to.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
