Hi
Please can someone advise me on my situation as im not sure if I have sent the correct letter.
I wrote to Barclaycard using Martin's Template for a copy of my original loan agreement form on 8th April:
I am writing to request a copy of my original loan agreement with Barclaycard. If the original loan agreement does not include details of the insurance added to the account, such as the number and cost of any monthly payments or any lump sum fees and interest charges applicable to this fee, please attach or advise how I can get access to this information.
I look forward to your response within 40 days, as is obliged under the Data Protection Act 1998. If not I shall seek remedy from the Information Commissioner.
Received a response from Barclaycard dated 15th April advising me that they are working on my enquiry and will contact me soon but to date I have yet to receive a reply.
I then called the number on the letter yesterday to chase and they made various excuses and told me they can order a copy of the agreement but will take at least another 15 working days !
Would the best option for me know is to wait further or is there a better option for me to get this reclaim started?
Thanks0 -
You don't need the agreement in order to complain, what you need are the account numbers and valid mis-selling reasons.
In addition, if your account is closed your request for the agreement is a waste of time since it won't be forthcoming.0 -
Hi All, I would be grateful for some advice on re claiming PPI, my hubby has tried to re claim from Natwest for his credit card, but has had a letter saying not entitled because it is printed on his statement every month he has not been mis sold, he doesnt really look at his statement apart from what he has spent and was totally oblivious to the PPI bit! I know naughty man, is it worth him contacting the Ombudsman?

Only if he can prove he was missold, in that he didn't ask for it, it was sold to him byu an advisor, i.e. over the phone or in the bank/company.
Otherwise, if he bought online and the boxes weren't pre-ticked, or he applied by post, he missbought, it wasn't missold.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
Hi people!
Any advise would be very much appreciated.
When me and my partner brought our house we dealt with a mortgage advisor.
The mortgage advisor was very helpful and took out some personal protection insurances on our behalf with a company. We consented as we were under the impression we needed these insurances in order to get a mortgage.
Now the more i speak to people/ friends they dont seem to have this personal protection plan (which for me alone is £17.91 per month.)
Do i have a claim? And if so do i approach my insurance company or the mortgage advisor?
Many thanks!!!:D0 -
Hi everyone,
I am sure this has been asked a billion times but, I have had a couple of credit cards and I believe 2 loans through Barclays years ago. I can't remember the exact dates and I unfortunately lost the paperwork years back - how do I ask for copies of the paperwork to determine whether I can claim back PPI? I do distincly remember being encouraged to take out PPI for at least one loan and card.
Any advise will be very welcome.
