Hi thanks DunstonH, address is the same, been here since 1988, and we sent them a copy of the MPRI policy, extended the mortgage twice, and twice insisted it was increased, yet they say no policy?0

At the risk of sounding well a bit daft I recently sent a SAR letter to LLoyds bank (PPI Team), they have returned some loan statements where I have been paying PPI which I would like to see if I can claim back.
I have printed off the PPI Questionairre from this site but do I send it back to same address as the SAR letter?

I,ve finally managed to get an e-mail to ceo of barlays ( or an office 3 or 4 levels down)
The reply was a very standard "Sorry you feel the need to complain. I will pass this to our PPI dept. I will update you no later than 21st of December."
Given the length of time i,ve already been waiting i was hoping for something suggesting a tad more urgency.
Other posters have mentioned e-mailing ceo,s with startling results, is this the sort of response you got?0 -

I don't think HSBC will still have the data for this from 12 years ago, as you have no paperwork either then this is a non starter.
I know you will not be using a claims company but they will not get the data either if you think you may take this route, you give all the details to the claims co and they post the claim off.
Thanks Amersall you've confirmed my fears. Oh well, I did manage to get my Bank charges back a few years agho, so at least i've had something back off them:-)0 -
Hi, I've just started the reclaim process with Debenhams/Santander store card. They've sent the original credit agreement back and, lo and behold, we ticked the NO box! I know we can claim the premiums back, (not a huge amount, fortunately) but do we claim compensation and if so, how much?0

Seeing as most cards add the PPI post sale (typically via the phone) you would expect the agreement to say no. So, that wont work as a complaint reason as they can probably come back to you and say it was bought on so and so date via the telephone. What other reasons do you have?
You do not claim compensation and you dont need to work the amount out. If your complaint is successful, you get a return of premiums plus interest. No more, no less (unless there have been rebates or a claim on the policy or are in arrears/default or had write offs).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Thanks, Dunstonh. The card was taken out in store and so we filled it in and ticked No at the time, they have simply disregarded it and charged us anyway! I think that is a pretty valid reason for complaint so I will give it a go. Thanks for clearing up the compensation question. I appreciate it.0
