PPI Reclaiming Discussion Part 5

I have been helping a friend claim back ppi from lloyds tsb for his cc. His first complaint about misselling was unsuccessful, the usual response that we sell a certain way etc etc and you have not been mis sold. He has had a similar complaint with RBSand the reason it was paid out was that he had diabetes at the salewhich he did not originally complain about but came out during their call.
He has since written to lloyds and told them about this and they have asked for proof.
Has anybody else had this kind of response, appears that the bank do not trust customers and I personally dont think he should have to provide this personal detail.
He should have originally mentioned it but did not see the merits as he thought that this was covered and not excluded.0 -
ok so after finally sending my complaint to the right address Santander sent a offer letter today for a old cahoot flexible loan. stating the following:
Please, what is the correct address for Alliance and Leicester (now Santander) for PPI claims.
My complaints sent be recorded delivery have never been answered or acknowledged!
TIA

Your friend provided extra information to support his claim and the bank asks for proof - that seems fair enough to me.0 -
Please help.
used a claim company called investors compensation claims ltd for PPI claim from Barclays in Feb 2012. 2 letters were received from barclays to say there was no ppi and there was ppi along with acceptance form which was signed and returned to both barclays and investors company. The claims company then forwarded the form to barclays and invoiced me in March. However, I have not received my payment from barclays a i write and they are still claiming there there was no PPI on the acct.
I then forwarded a statement to both barclays and the claims company showing PPI and I also informed the claims company that I will not pay their fees until I receive payment from barclays and they need to complete their job by contacting barclays.
They have completely ignored my letter and continue to chase their fee by sending threatening letters and phone calls at unreasonable hours.
Can anyone please advise on what to do?
You are not being clear.
Have you made a complaint for PPI and you didn't have it according to the bank, but you have proof you did?
Have you made a complaint for PPI and you didn't have it according to the bank, and you still don't have it?
Have you made more than one compalint? If you have, have any of them been upheld?
What did you agree in the contract with the claims company?
What did they agree to do - i.e. what is written in your contract?
For your information also - you do not receive payment from the bank unless your complaint of misselling has been upheld. Have the claims complany sent them a complaint form, have you had a reply from the bank that is a full and final response?Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -

Considering over half of PPI complaints are fraudulent then it seems like a fair request. They are allowed to ask for evidence to support allegations.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Thanks Dunston and Jay, the problem he has is that the condition he had was type 2 diabetes and he was diagnosed at 15, he thentook out the cc at 18 and I would imagine he would have mentioned it at the time(cant prove it though). Due to his age and change in lifestyle he managed to beat it at 29 and now he is 38.
I cant question this as I have only known him for about 3 years but seems a strange thing to say.
Do you think his doctor would be happy to send this personal info to the bank, he has also said he does not want to tell his doctor what he is doing and why he needs it0 -
Hello you good folks,I am sure you must be fed-up getting asked the same questions, but the more I read from peoples posts the more unsure I'm becoming.........so please forgive.
I will put it down as simply as I can.
IS THIS WHAT IS CALLED IN THE TRADE FRONT LOADED?
Secured joint personal loan
AMOUNT OF LOAN
MONTHLY INTEREST RATE
TOGETHER makes a monthly payment of
by120 installments
Further down the column;
PPI Monthly premium ....then added
Total monthly payment has been revised, and was paid in monthly for the full term, taken just the one payment every month.
Thank you for your patience.0 -

Yes as Taff says it is single premium/front loaded, Single Premium is the reason that you use to complain, the full cost and unfair rebates of this PPI were not explained to you fully at the point of sale for you to make an informed decision.0
