PPI Reclaiming Discussion Part 5

I do remember having to fill in lots of forms for the advisor saying that I understood the various things he sold to me but to be honest I was very young, naive and inexperienced .0

Hi,
I don't know if anyone has had experience with Egg card (when I find time I'll plough through the successes and failures thread) but I am following the guide to PPI on MSE.
I requested (stage 1) a copy of my credit agreement request and terms and they have refused, citing the consumer credit act and saying the account was closed some time ago.
That's true - the account was closed but is that any reason to deny me this information, especially as they did nefariously sell PPI to me (when I wasn't in a legal position to benefit from it).
What should my next action be? Should I refer a claim directly (essentially without paperwork) or is there another tack I could take.
All advice gratefully received.0 -

However, you don't need the terms and conditions in order to complain. What you need are valid and verifiable complaint reasons.0 -
I've been waiting for sar details since mid July, posted on here few days ago about my complaint to HSBC CEO,
Well today I finally get to speak to a real person, a very nice man actually, apologised for not providing my sar info & that I would soon be contacted by my branch to collect it :j he also apologised for the lack of contact from HSBC & that there phone line has technical issues,
well he was on the phone he told me my ppi claims were nearing the deadline & that he'd given them urgent priority due to there poor customer service ect ect, that I would recieve within 7 days an offer letter for 3 personal loans, I asked if they would deal with the other loans in the chain (that I have no documentation for), he said no because I had no documents they would deal only the 3 I've provided docs for,
I have documents for the 1st 2 loans & last 1, should I insist now that they deal with the whole chain ( I have his number, fax & email) or wait & see what they offer, he did say my sar may show up the missing loans..........0 -

It is my understanding that Bank records of consolidation chains are linked so that they can be easily retrieved.
If I were you I wouldn't accept this and would take it to the Ombudsman if necessary.0 -

I'm just doing a letter now to fax tomorrow , have checked all my info I've got 3 at beginning 2 at the end, going to send it all again & point out there obliged to treat them all as a chain, looking at the account numbers I've got there's 2vI've got no info for in the middle.......0 -
Hi guys,
i've noticed that i have got a "optional" PPI insurance on my Barclaycard bill. I've had my Barclaycard for years cant remeber how long if i'm honest. A couple of weeks ago i received a letter from them saying that my annual??? review was had been produced. It's the 1st time i ever remember getting 1 of these.
I havent got any of the original documents from when i took the card out.
Do you think i stand a chance?
Thanks

When we're your loans from, mine start in 89, last loan taken out 98, ran until 2002, my missing ones are 92-960 -

They've also decided I've sent enough proof now on my mortgage protection policy , theyve sent it to be investigated, chances are slim I think but if you don't try, you will never know......0
