Hi, Yes it was settled in January of this year, and yes there was a rebate

You will get the ppi monthly payments back that you paid to date of settlement and the interest associated with these, the remaining ppi is given back to you less the rebate amount when you settled.
Do you have the exact figures?.
  • I'm completely new to this PPI lark and I've been put onto it by my boss who has received a staggering £17,000+ back from mis-sold PPI's. He said a big factor in his success is that the company we work for has a policy of providing 26 weeks of full pay for sickness p.a.
I'm currently paying PPI on a Tescos Loan, 2 credit cards and a Store Card - all taken out whilst employed under these terms. Does this mean I was mis-sold my PPI?

Hi you need to get hold of your loan agreement number first look for this on a old bank statements the loan number will show next to the direct debit you paid each month.
You could also try at the bank where you took out the loan.
if you can't find anything post back and we can tell you what you can do next good luck :)

By the way i had one that was payed out that went back to 1997 :)

I think you will be able claim but if you look on this site it will tell you all you need to know if you have a good reason to make a claim to get all of your PPI back.

If you have any problems post back and i am sure someone on here will help you good luck :)

  • Hi, I took out a mortgage in 1997 and was told I had to have a 'Life policy'. When I read it it provided cover for sickness, unemployment etc but not for those on fixed term contracts, which I was (12 months). Is this the same as a PPI? Do you think I can claim it back? It was a black horse estate agent financial advisor who sorted it all out and the Life Policy was with Black Horse. After a couple of years I cancelled it and don't have any paperwork although it is mentioned in one of the solicitors' letters I still have.
    Any advice much appreciated, thanks

Looks like it was not upheld last time and they stand by their reasons as previous, you need to get this letter to see what it says, as more than 6 months has passed since this, you will not be able to complain again, you could ask them to reconsider as you moved house and did not receive this letter and see what they say.

    Thanks!
I've just rang them and asked for a copy to be sent to my current address. Apparently their response was sent in feb 2009!!
I'll wait til i get the letter and see what it says bu do you think i have a hope in hell of this being upheld now after 3 years have passed??
