With this being over 13 years ago the data could have been destroyed, what year did you settle this loan? a Sar may not throw anything up either but may depend on the year it was settled as some keep data longer than the 6 years, if you want to do the Sar to see if there is any info, enclose £10, ask for all info they hold on you and give them 40 days to respond.

paid last payment 2003 possibly 2004 will try the SAR worth a go for £10 i suppose

    Hi,

Had anyone had any luck claiming back PPI from a DCA? I mean when a loan was passed to a DCA part way through, thus terminating the agreement with the bank. My bank only want to refund the PPI that I paid until the loan was passed to the DCA!!

    Thanks
  • Phoned RBS last week to make a mis-sell claim and received the standard reply letter back on Wednesday, then the same on Thursday and another one today. However the reference number on each is different to the last. Would this be because I had consolidated loans and they are looking at each individually?.
    Cheers.
  • Hi thanks for the reply, got a settlement this morning for both funnily enough, says cheques will take 10-15 business days. Happy days Lol

I'm being inundated with phonecalls about reclaiming PPI. I'm totally confused about this. I have store cards and a credit card, but I have always paid the amount owing in full every month. Therefore I am just paying for the goods I have purchased. Is PPI something which can be added if you don't pay your bill in full every month? Some calls have said I may be due something back even if I have paid my card bill in full every month - I'm confused!

Just put the 'phone down on these people. They are just trying to entice you to make what would basically be a fraudulent claim. They are obviously not above telling you lies in order to do this. I'd say this was reason enough to ignore everything they say.
  • 10 years ago i had a loan with egg ppi was payable to get the loan, jumping forward to 2010 got a call from the c a g who said they could reclaim the ppi as i was not going to do it as the loan had been cleared 5 years previously i said they could go ahead in 2011 egg informed me the claim was now settled in my favour at £1490.38 c a g rang asking for it's 39% £561.25 which i paid the claim is now closed.2 weeks ago 05/2012 egg then wrote again saying they had made a mistake and i was owed a further £1687 (nice) the claims advisory have now called to say they want their cut 39% £658! Here re my questions

are they entitled to this (they got it wrong in the first place )

Should i claim against them for not getting the right ammount
sorry if i have got the procudre wrong this is my first post and i dont even no how to see any replies i might get! thanks

I am afraid that you have to pay the fee as they did the claim with Egg, look at it this way, had Egg paid the correct amount at the start, you would still have the fee to pay.

Well done on the win :T
