First the good news ...my daughter has just had over £15,000 back from Halifax for PPI paid on loans and mortgages so she is really happy . My neighbour has had £11,000 repaid by Lloyda and is waiting news on other claims .Great stuff !!
Now I wonder if someone can give me advice for my son ? He had 2 car loans with GE Money who have been taken over by Santander . In among all his paperwork from GE Money is a form with his name on it and saying "PPI at £14. 75 monthly " . However on his statements there's no sign of PPI repayments . Does this mean he didn't pay this £14.75 ? Santander say he didn't but why would he have a form with this on it in among his paperwork ??? Thanks Anne

    Thanks Amersall,

I will do. What about my PPI claim....should I accept their first offer, does everything look above board.

I've just noticed from sorting through some old papers that for a few years I was paying £4 a month "overdraft payment protection" with Barclays. I know that I don't pay it anymore although I still have an overdraft and have no recollection of either asking for it in the fist place.

Is this also a type of PPI that can be claimed back?

Can you reclaim mortgage protection insurance because i got told i had to have it with my mortgage so i took it out, this was on my first mortgage in 2002, is it too late to claim if indeed you can?

    You are welcome x.
If you ask the guys on the link i gave then you will know if the offer is right for what you can claim, i would not like to tell you to accept when they may owe you more, or not as the case may be :D

It will depend on how it was sold to you and if you needed it or not.

You need the agreement to see if the PPI is there and the interest, if it is only showing the loan payment and interest, then he did not pay this PPI.

On his statements, if the PPI is in with the monthly payment then it will not show up as PPI.

It is also possible that he did not take the PPI for some reason and the only way you will know is to get the agreement or a copy of it.

What is the form that shows the PPI payment?.
