I would pay up if I was you - £1700 is enough for them to take legal action against you - unless they are willing to accept a lesser sum as a full and final settlement.0 -
uclaim for me have sent me an invoice for over 1700 pounds even tho the pi claim was not dealt with them and i did not ask them to contact barclaycard
Barclaycard is the card company for Barclays. A linked company. Most CMCs include a clause in their contracts/LOAs to cover all companies within the group.
is there a contract still in place with the companyYou would need to refer to your contract.
or am i in my wries to say i will not pay for a service i did not ask forAgain, refer to your contract to see if it covers all companies within the group.

hi i was told by barclaycard today that as the origional signature was over six month prior to the claim it was out of date .. so was not valid ,,, they wrote to the claim company telling them this and to get me to sign another agreement ..... which after seeing on here all about the company i neither received any letters for new signature or calls ,,, therefore went ahead with direct dealings with barclaycard ... im awaiting the company to send me a copy of the origional letter i signed to confirm dates0

I’m looking at the R40 for to reclaim tax from ppi payments, I know I’ve had 2 payouts in the last 4 year but don’t know the dates or the exact figures involved. Do I just fill the form in the best I can and add a covering letter or is there something else I could do to get the info?0

Supplying HMRC with the wrong figures is fraud. You must be accurate. The complaint response will tell you the interest added.

ooo update after speaking to barclaycard they sent me a copy of the letter they got from uclaim,,,,, it has a copy signature of mine and redated for december 2020 ,,,,, i did not sign the request document or date it this year ,,,,, the very first signature was back in 2018 oct i now have proof they have copied my signature and dated it to obtain information from Barclaycard regarding the claim,,,is it not illegal to copy a signature to gain information leading to a demand for money? ,,, is it not obtaining money by deception?,,, off to the fraud squad is it or ombudsmen0

I wrote to Littlewoods catalogue in 2018, I got a letter back to say they were looking into it but there was a delay due to amount of claims. Several months later got a letter to say that i had been charged for PPI but it was as it was before Dec 2003 it was taken out with Aviva as they supplied the PPI policies back then, so would take more investigating. I had several other letters apoliising about the delay, last one was in Dec 2019 saying they were still lookig ino it, but i could now take my claim to the Financial Ombudsman, which i did in March 2020 as i hadn't heard anything more from Littlewoods. One month later i received a letter from Financial Ombudsman advising tht they couldn't do anything as the claim was from such a long time ago.
As I didn't have any documents proving that i had paid for PPI I basically had no choice but to give up & didn't expect to hear anymore.
On 01 Oct 2020 i received a letter from Shop direct finance advising that they had finished their investigation & found out that PPI had 1st been charged to my account 27/04/93 & was cancelled by me 05/02/2008, they had worked out that i was due a repayment including the ineterest of £3527.13, 1 month later I received a cheque through the post.
So my advise is don't give up even if Financial Ombudsman says they can't help you!!0
