You have multiple issues. All of which say your complaint is over.
There are two companies with the same name. Only difference in name is that one says LIMITED and other says LTD. They have nothing to do with each other.
The company you used dissolved in 2015. It doesn't exist. So, you would not get a response if you wrote to them. The other company with the LTD name is dormant (not active). If you wrote to them, then you are writing to the wrong place.
So, not getting a response is not unexpected as the right company no longer exists and the potentially incorrect company is dormant.
So, that explains that bit.
However, you bought in 2002. Regulation didnt start until January 2005. The LIMITED company you bought from never became regulated. So, you have no access to the FOS or FSCS. Even if they still existed today, they would reject your complaint as pre-regulation.
So, your complaint has nowhere to go and no-one to answer it. It's the end of the road.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Yes - the issue is the seller, if it was 10 years ago, 2009, they were regulated in theory but at the same time, 2009 firms had largely stopped selling PPI and it was banned entirely at point of sale in 2010
I bought the car direct from the Seat dealer with their finance agreement in 2007.0 -
Thankyou -taff, got another address for NRAM so gona send to them to see if I have any response. So confusing all the different names to send to. The original I had the mortgage with was North of England building society in 1991. I have most of the paperwork as well but tracing who I write to has been a hassle. Then no response from UKAR makes me very frustrated and feel like giving up.
Thanx again for your help.0 -

So you complain to the dealer who sold it to you, in 2007 you might have had PPI, they might have been regulated. Was it an actual Seat owned site or a franchise (independent?) - that will determine if you can argue with Seat themselvesSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

It will depend who sold the finance - if it was a car dealer then pre-regulation so do not have to look at the complaint. If it was by a finance company directly (external to the car dealer) then you might need to look into it - might have been someone like Black Horse but remember if they didn't sell you it, they have no liability.Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

Send another letter and this time do not send it recorded/registered.
You didn't need to track the letter's delivery and you should have received an acknowledgement shortly after it was received.
If you do not receive an acknowledgement letter within ten days of sending the new complaint, you should chase up by telephone...
Are you sure you sent it to the correct address?
Clearly, it has only reached the Bank's post room and will be languishing somewhere.0 -

I was missold an insurance policy back when I was 21 - I am now 62! I was told I could not have a mortgage unless I took the policy through a broker with Crusader Ins who had an office in Portsmouth. Before the policy matured at 25 years it had been taken over a couple of times first by Brittannia & then someone else. We did complain to the Ombudsman at the time the policy matured as it was also a rubbish payout but this current situation of missold policies didn't exist at that time & we were told there was nothing could be done! Because of that result from the Ombudsman we shredded all the paperwork a good few years ago. Is it too long ago to claim? Who would I claim from anyway as the company no longer exists?0

Sounds very much like you had an endowment policy and not PPI. If you have already complained once about the endowment maturity payout and been turned down, you don't get a second go.0 -

Endowments were mandatory on interest only mortgages at that time. So, that is logical. We did complain to the Ombudsman at the time the policy matured as it was also a rubbish payout but this current situation of missold policies didn't exist at that time & we were told there was nothing could be done!
Again, you bought before regulation. So, nothing could be done.
You bought in 1978. So, you had LAPR on the insruance premiums and double MIRAS on the mortgage. So, it was pretty much a no brainer to go with an endowment. Is it too long ago to claim?
Nothing has changed.Who would I claim from anyway as the company no longer exists?
