  • Superflygal - the brakes are making a nasty noise because the brake pads are worn through and the metal discs are now being used to stop the car - which is really dangerous because they won't work as well. That is why it is so expensive. If you had had the brake pads changed whilst they still had some left it would have been lots cheaper. But a decent garage would have told you at your last MOT how much longer your pads would last you. If you have taken your car back to the garage which did the MOT I would definitely be going for a second opinion.

That's very expensive, I would def get a 2nd and maybe 3rd opinion.

Had a horrible day today. Started great with my lovely friend treating me to lunch (£5 odd saved :) ) but then she broke the news to me that my old boss has told all the staff that when I worked there I had been stealing their tips! I actually feel sick typing this. I really can't think of anything worse to be accused of, I'd never dream of stealing anything and certainly not from my colleagues. What a cr*ppy day :(

That is total pants. But what a fantastic friend in telling you and treating you to lunch. :A
Thats what Im worried about, someone claiming its not turned up so I'm debating the easy option of mazuma.

Its an iphone 3g 8gb. They arent worth that much 2nd hand really. IM gutted cos I was hoping for around the 80 - 100 mark but never mind!! I shant grumble with 60. Its all off the credit card.

In the past I have got a good trade-in deal with my phone company which has been credited to my account.:)

Oh dear, MoneySpider. Hope the swap gets sorted (and smoothly).

Right, I received £18.20 today for blogging and £0.65 from Squidoo (it's a free platform for creating single pages).

Have a great day tomorrow, all :)

I once swapped two sets of tap shoes. The lady who got the bigger pair was happy because her daughter would grow into them and wasn't in a hurry. The other lady who got the smaller pair was really annoyed because they were never going to fit her daughter and she needed them for the weekend when she bought them on the Monday, so she had to buy a brand new pair at the dance shop. I had to refund her the whole amount including her postage back to me and she returned them in the box from the new pair, just to make a point! :(

So, another day, another dollar... hopefully...:o

On the plus side, I have applied for a teaching job at one of the fantastic schools I have done long term supply at and I really hope I am in with a chance. :undecided

I had another surprise sausage in Caesar's Bingo! It's lucky they do the free games or I wouldn't log in and wouldn't know about it!
Wish there was a way of finding out who it was!
I suppose when I started with these sites last month and was doing nicely from some winnings, I was telling lots of people I know, and some asked for my usernames and said they would have a look at it, so maybe they are just getting around to it now.
Not complaining though of course :D

Re: the ebay parcel mix up.
The guy has said he hasn't had the skirt yet, but found it quite amusing, so hopefully once the items get to the proper buyers all will be well, i dont mind giving them both a full refund, for the sake of a couple of quid i'd rather have happy buyers.

I start my first shift tonight at mr Ts, and a 2nd tomorrow night. I cant believe how nervous i am about it :o ive got some ebay parcels to post ( Yes! they are all going to the right buyers this time:p) then i not sure if i should try and get a few extra hours kip or what! im normally thinking about bed come 10pm, but i'll just be starting a 9 hour shift at that time tonight ....Its certainly going to take some adjusting to!! Im not sure i'll make much use of the free listing weekend coming up, got a feeling im going to be zombified most of the weekend...Zzzzzzzzz

Well I've done reasonably well today, had £100 credited into my new Halifax account for switching and got another £5 Swagbux voucher. Also trying to sell an iPad3 as I got one for myself and was gonna sell my old one but now I've decided against it and may even make a bit of money on it hopefully.

Do you guys know that you can earn money from getting advertising emails sent to you? You don't even need to open them so an email address that you don't use very often can be used.

Granted its not a lot but you can grow a team to boost earnings. You can claim earnings in vouchers - all the usual ones!

I have been with them a few weeks and all seems good with them, you don't get inundated with spam either - basically money for very little i have to say - Check out Mailpay or feel free to PM me your email address for more info/sausage type thingy :D

I'm finding them very good too, joined a few months ago. Have you cashed out yet Fairy? I started a thread in Feb on the sausage board if anyone was interested :D

How do you find out when free games are? My money has run out there so I haven't been back on but will if there's any freebies lol

I wanted to get some opinions from you guys, watching the C4 programme on tonight about sex chatlines, its made me investigate. I've been thinking about doing it for a while and watching the programme kinda spured me on! I cant go out to work as nursery fees are so high so I would break even and with this (as seedy as it is) I could make fit round me and my life. I've signed up to a site called LiveLines, there was a thread on here a year or two ago about it. So, what do you guys think about it? I'd only ever do it in the evening when the children are in bed, 25hrs a week. Any opinions welcome :D

Someone may have already said this but I'm way behind on the thread :o

There used to be a few threads on the Up your Income Board but don't know if they are still there. There was talk of shutting them down and starting a Yahoo group but don't know if they ever did.

I never got past the thinking about it stage!

There is a diary on DFW and the poster does this for her main job, and does post about it. Her name is DreamerHelen - might be worth PMing her? :)
