I used some vouchers to buy books (vouchers were free and I have had them lurking since 2010) so I spent £47.49 on books (I know I don't need any more books but I needed these ones:D)0

Don't like to keep coming back to it, but thinking about it, just wanted to say to Aesop that with the referral issue - I hope it didn't sound in any way like I was having a go towards you or anything, as I know it's not a rule that you have made up and you are just passing on the info.
I'm sure you know I wasn't directing it at you, but just wanted to say in case.Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700 -

We're receiving about £33 a week at the moment because I've been on maternity leave most of the tax year, and then it was due to go down to £10 a week from April. No surprises though that the cuts mean we'll get no money from April.
I find it quite ironic that we were much better off when I was on Mat leave, even before you consider the tax credits!
Stay strong
Thank youWe actually get quite a lot in Tx creds because I have 6 kids, one classed as severely disabled and a partner with ME. I work full time running a youth project and like you I was on mat leave last year, and I have 4 at school and 1 at free nursery every afternoon. My boss lets me take the baby to work and my DH usually manages to pick up from school, so no nursery fees. :T
Some people have been losing £400+. If we did that we would go under. My DH can't cope with the money side of things so I manage it all whilst trying to discuss it as little as possible  otherwise he just ends up in bed for a week at a time.0 -

It's a lot of worry isn't it, although ours is only £10 a week we'll be losing it feels like a lot as it is needed. I know the cuts are necessary but when you see some people (an example given in a previous post on this thread) that are living the life of luxury with tax credits it just feels so unfair that people like us who work hard have to scrimp!
I don't want to get your hopes up as I'm not 100% sure but I read somewhere that the disability element is increasing for some people. If this is the case hopefully yours won't go down as much as you might think.
You must be superwoman with all those children and working, I've got one and feel like i've got my hands full!£5.00 a day challenge: MARCH - £0.50/£155.000 -
