Evening all
Had a lovely night with DH, went for a meal with his commissionyum. Needed it, been a funny old week...
So, inputted the last two of this weeks mystery shops, defo going to start getting back into them. Used to do loads 'back in the day' when I first started doing this challenge a few years ago but dropped off lately (there doesn't seem to have been as many about lately??)
The tax credit thing is a joke, we had ours took off us last year and despite that we're on 'not bad' earnings - by no means are we financially sound, we're just surviving, add to that the fact that we both work in the public sector and have had quite hefty pay cuts the last 3 years... and it's all a bit
Hoo har, such is life! (Insert sarcastic, begrudging eye rolling smilie here)

ps - £5 mccains voucher for DH. Still waiting for my mystery one to arrive...!0 -
Oh i don't know if anyone has used this site for books - i know a few people were looking for somewhere to trade in fiction books - looks like these guys accept them as well as textbooks etc

Thanks Fairyclicks, I'll try that!
I have bought hard-to-find books for study and for nostalgic grandparents from abebooks - never sold them anything though...0 -

We had our tax credits removed last year but this year with DH (he too works in the public sector) getting a wage cut in April, we may now qualify again. We should also be eligible for child benefit again. Doesn't quite make up for the loss in wages but still helps.
Forgot to say glad you enjoyed your evening out. And CP hope you enjoy your takeaway, I caved in and had one last weekend.Weight loss 0/2st

Am I right in thinking that the £5 Amazon voucher is best value on swag$$? I am really struggling to find time to be on there and hate watching the videos so am only up to 349 swag$$ and you all seem to be getting millions of $$ every lunchtime. Must have another look at this thing. In my spare time0

Thanks hun
It's not fair is it. I know there's people in worse positions so I shouldn't moan, but it seems really unfair that our wages keep going down and the cost of living keeps going up and upBoo hiss. I hope you sleep well Mr Cameron.:mad::mad: Hope I never meet the man, the temptation to punch him straight in the chops might over power me.
Ohhhh CP, what take away did you have? I skimmed the posts but missed that bit, do apologise. That's what a bottle of red and lack of glasses does isn't it
