Did two MS yesterday and DH is doing 2 today... I will add that when I get paid for it all though. Got some things up for sale in my local free ads, hopefully will make some money there too, fingers crossed :)

Glad to her OH is making himself useful now.

Things sound a bit more positive between the 2 of you? Did you manage to sit down and have a talk or have things just sort of fallen back into place a bit more?
Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £170
  • Well I've just had a lovely surprise - seems my ISA interest is calculated on 2nd March (?!) so an impressive £241.78 to add! Only happens once a year of course and all about to be used on the mortgaage but hey, cheered me right up! Oh and 10p interest on my other account.

So.........drumroll...........up to 351.43! Got to be a record to smash target on day 2, haha :rotfl:

Sorry to be a pain sweets but seems like I should change target to £15  a day!

Hope you all have a lovely productive day..........xxx

Seems a bit ott to me!!
Particularly as it's not like we're over run with referral stuff so does seem silly that we're not allowed to discuss things that everyone contributing to the thread is happy with.

Still haven't worked out what I need to add so will go and do some totting up now and report back later.

Going to try and get 10 Ebay listings ready to start in the evening today also. And tidy the coffee table - not money making but it's stressing me out how much clutter just attracts clutter, and it's a bit of a mountain at the mo :(

I have to agree with this. Yes, I see why we shouldn't post/ask for/advertise referrals, but I can't really understand why simply mentioning them should be an issue. My post has mysteriously disappeared from yesterday, I'll be a bit pee'd off if it was removed for mentioning referrals as all I did was thank someone for mentioning that you can get £10 per... um, 'sausage' on Caesars bingo, and that I'd try the 'sausage board' (:rotfl:) as I didn't know anyone that liked bingo. I can't see anything wrong with that as it's simply discussing what I'm doing to try and make money... particularly when loads of people have been getting away with blatently asking for, and advertising 'sausages' for months!

Anyway, I got that sausage last night :D, think I'm going to hang around though rather than withdraw as there's loads of chances to get free money as they have free bingo every hour, plus loads of the chat games like on Fab. Talking of Fab, I'm off to play Daily Pleasures (I LOVE that game!).

Will be back later as I'm sure I saw an email from SB (got £5 Amazon due) when I checked my inbox.
  • Just thought I'd pop up for some comforting inspiration after scaring myself silly reading Martin's Facebk request for tx credit info. I think we could be in with a real shock real soon - everyone seems to be losing a lot of their tx credit money. I think we would go under without it. My OH has been in bed since 7pm in order to try and combat his depression over it all. :(

I recieved the dreaded letter a couple of days ago. We're receiving about £33 a week at the moment because I've been on maternity leave most of the tax year, and then it was due to go down to £10 a week from April. No surprises though that the cuts mean we'll get no money from April.

I find it quite ironic that we were much better off when I was on Mat leave, even before you consider the tax credits!

This is why I've joined this forum really, I need some inspiration to find ways of making up for the £10 a week loss (and likely increase of already extortionate nursery fee's!).

I hope you don't receive the dreaded letter, but be sure that if you do you and your partner will manage to work your way through it.

As a starting point do you or your partner where a uniform/pay for tools for your job? Even if it's just a polo shirt with a company logo on it then you may be able to claim the uniform tax rebate which can be backdated 6 years. There's a few restrictions but it's worth looking into if it applies to you (can work out £100's if backdated).

    Stay strong

Lolly no idea why your post was removed. I have.been telling everyone not to post the r word, but people do what they want. It's Martin's site, there is no freedom of speech, he can tell us we are not allowed to post certain things for fear of being sued. Rightly or wrongly, may mean to us, don't see why not, but his legal representation may have a reason. Like Martin was going to close the gambling thread, not checked lately on the status of that.

I hope the tax credits doesnt effect you guys too much, if at all. My friend lives with her boyfriend in his owned home, he pays all the bills/mortgage/car but asks that she buys the food as she has 5 children by 4 different fathers(one is his). She's quite well to do and she gets over £300 a WEEK in tax credits, plus child benefit, plus maintenance every month. She doesnt work although she could as they are all at school but her TC wont be affected. £2000 a month for lunching with friends everyday. Wrong? I think so.
    £20k in 2023 = £2718 £2023 in 2023 = £196.41 Grocery challenge £250= £195.80 **MONEY MAKES ME HAPPY**
