MSE News: Banks wrongly reject PPI complaints, despite admitting mis-selling

I have never asked for PPI as I class it the same as the extended warranties you get in shops... Worthless..
Hi there...Sorry to be pedantic, but I have no idea why you would consider extended warranties to be worthless. That makes no sense. They can be very expensive, and worthless if the appliance never breaksdown, but if it does you can be sure of a repair. Well, I've never had any problem with all the ones I've bought where the appliance broke down (and I take it out on most major appliances I buy).
I'm also not at all clear why you couldn't have claimed on the PPI which you didn't know you had. Unless it was because you didn't know you'd got it at the time you needed it?0 -
if this is the case why is martin now saying contact the banks for free , its easy?0

what changed as according to the which/mse radio ad it is simple to make a claim and just contact the bank?0

I am however going to give the financial srvices ombudsman a go, even though Vanquis claim this plan does not fall within ther guidelines!
if mse know this then they should really not advise vanquis claimants not to make their claim this way using the template0 -

Might it be because, if you have a valid complaint, you need only to send one letter to the firm your complaint is against and, if it is rejected, one to FOS?
This is the big "secret" of ppidisgrace and co.
They do not want you to realise how easy it is.0 -
its easy to make a claim, but what evidence do you have winning a claim is easy?
can you advise how many claims where clients have ppi are being rejected, and what you base your own opinions on, can you back them up
i think you are avoided the question, unless you are saying that between Feb and April, Martin realised that it was easy to make a claim, and the banks were not rejecting valid claims, as evidence seems to suggest that more claims are being rejected not less
how does Martin explain the 360 degree turn, apart from obviously seeing a big media opportunity after being approached by the banks to get into bed together0 -
"Winning" a complaint is easy if you have genuine reasons to claim. It's certainly no easier using a CMC in any event.ppidisgrace wrote: »its easy to make a claim, but what evidence do you have winning a claim is easy?0 -
what do you base that on? easy for who? rather than generalise and make comments without foundation, could you back them up please0

Anyone who has genuine complaint reasons.ppidisgrace wrote: »easy for who?0
