Natwest Contactless Card

...didn't we all feel the same when Barclays bought out the first debit card (Connect???) in the '80's. Not many shops had terminals and we wrote cheques or did the credit card imprint thing on paper slips. Look where we are now!
I guess also that for some having a contactless card is an indication that they have a debit card that works offline. Personally I have only seen a few retailers that offer this but I bet a pound to a penny in 5 years or so it will be the norm.

I find that incredibly hard to believe when you consider the vast majority of the population hasn't got the foggiest idea what "online" and "offline" cards are, nor will they have the slightest idea that contactless = offline card, even if they knew what it was!0 -

Erm, it wasn't so long ago you were complaining Barclays wouldn't give you a contactless card!

I got one from Natwest, and also have contactless on 2 of my credit cards and use them quite a bit, and when London buses start accepting them as payment instead of having to use an Oyster card, I'll use it even more
checking up on me huh? LOL
I LOVE MY FANS :T
I, changed my mind because the card is pointless so i never got it.
(how often do ya use it?) (then i realised i don't need that crap)

Just got my purple contactless debit card today. I don't live in London btw.0

I don't have contactless and I'm staying that way. Should Nationwide insist on foisting this dangerously insecure payment system on me I'll either move to another financial institution or I'll drill a hole through the NFC chip on the card.I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0

Or just have more than one in your wallet, and then you are safe.0
