From what you say it doesn't appear to be you fault..... there.... is that what you wanted??
You seem very aggressive towards people who are mainly on here to offer advice. Why don't you close the account and open one with someone else, then that would stop the problem.Learn to speak Norfolk:
Translations: Naarfok = Norfolk, Narridge = Norwich, jargon = like running, but slower, cooo = queue, how're yer gettin arn = Norfolk greeting, on the huh = Something being uneven.0 -
NO (the correct answer)IrishGypsy wrote: »I can make a suggestion: The branch should alter the statement date to the following day (after paying in money to clear charges) as this generates charges sooner (rather than waiting for a regular statement period to roll around and clock up additional charges). Worst case scenario should then be £5 max for one days additional Unauthorised OD use.
Paid and Unpaid item fees 'stack' as they are triggered on the day they happen (regardless of the statement period), Authorised and Unauthorised Daily Fees are based on the statement period. So manually changing the statement date will affect the charges incurred upon closure.
You appear to be operating under some delusion or some other type of unclear mental state about how your employers work.
This i am afraid to say is all too common a mental state that exists amongst Santander staff who actually "believe" that the people who put together your system do not want customers financially ruined and put into chaos over trivialities.
Yes they do, This is becoming clear as daylight now. If anything it works like this (very simple business model)
Santander BUSINESS MODEL FOR THE NEW MILLENNIUM
The Santander employ independent System analysts to advise the management of a dozen really good way to suck customers dry, especially those the hardest put upon financially because we all know really that the poor cause their own problems dont they ?
The burden is then placed on the Santander staff as to let their conscience do as fit to deal with the aftermath. The idea being a simple equation that works like this.
Santander BANKING FORMULA
Methods x (800,000% APR) - RefundsC + NORefundsBASTXXDS = PoorProfits AT 500,000% APR -/+ 100,000% APR
NOTATION USED FOR Santander BANKING FORMULA
Methods = Methods required to ruin the poor
RefundsC= RefundsC given by staff (with a conscience)
NORefundsBASTXXDS = Refunds not given by staff (with no conscience or just plain thick as hell)
PoorProfits = profits taken from the poor0 -

YES that is progress of a kind. Although it would be better coming from the longstanding forum stalwarts who if you read through their back posts tend to have a longstanding pattern of blame the victim of whatever scam is going around. You seem very aggressive towards people who are mainly on here to offer advice.
IF advice is what you want to call whats on here, then go ahead. The first reply on this thread was at least helpful in trying to leverage out a possible cause. It was not the minimum pay in charge, but as we see Santander has now used that to leverage yet another scam out of A + L customers. Why don't you close the account and open one with someone else, then that would stop the problem.
Nice idea, so which one of these banks in this cartel is not actually doing this ? For some strange reason they appear to have copied each others system and methods.0 -
NO (the correct answer)I see IrishGypsy the supposed staff member of Santander actually voted on this poll that he/she can figure out how to stop these charges. I guess it must be a hard job wrestling with the cognitive dissonance of requiring a career and employment vs the moral conundrum of the actions of your employer.
At least it "appears" :A like you are actually having a conundrum in posting here, but who knows !!!!!! is really going on in real life sometimes never mind the internet.
OK IrishGypsy :A What specific instructions do i take to stop these charges seeing as you voted that they could be ?
Please bear in mind the following.
Banking: Conduct of Business Regulations (BCOB).
4.1.1 R A firm must provide or make available to a banking customer appropriate information about a retail banking service and any deposit made in relation to that retail banking service:
(1) in good time;
(2) in an appropriate medium; and
(3) in easily understandable language and in a clear and comprehensible form;
so that the banking customer can make decisions on an informed basis.
And for you personally as an individual. Yes what a strange concept in a large organization ( i was just following orders m'lord)
“An agent (in accordance with the Interpretation Act 1978) for an organization can be charged under the sBCOBS contravention of which by an authorised person may be actionable under section 150 of the Act (Actions for damages) by a person who suffers loss as a result of the contravention.”0 -
NO (the correct answer)There is a Santander manager who roams this board who may be able to help. I won't mention his name in case he doesn't want to. But if he's listening and wants to help then I'm sure he'll reply.
BTW please stop with the crap font changes, it's not exactly nice to read.0 -

I take it you dont like my Font Art ? Im only trying to make the most of life you know.
I used to have savings but Santander took them so my psychologist suggested i become artistic as a coping mechanism.
That should be interesting. A third santander manager :j so maybe 3rd time lucky  or perhaps not if he/she happens to be one of those managers that could not figure it out previously.

I'm afraid I'm unable to add to the debate.OK opinions4U out of pure research and fascination i read through the thanked posts of all members with how shall we put it, a less than sympathetic approach to people posting such problems.
Well YES opinions4U ? or for everybody ? Who exactly are these opinions 4 anyway the member or the rest of this bulletin board. I suspect its the latter for some strange reason.
Answer this (IF YOU DARE)
Do you see me as responsible for these charges repeating ?
YES or NO. IF you put YES lets see your explanation, thanks. Will it be better than all those other posts that blame members and hence encourage other members to join in as you have a high post count and fancy badges and graphics of honour TO BOOT !!
My attempts to read your posts have ended in a headache due to the ridiculous choice of fonts, colours and sizes.
So I've been unable to work out what's happened, why it's happened or who's at fault.0 -
I was going to help, but seeing how you have spoken to IrishGypsy I've decided not to.0
-
YES of course they can stupid (and pray tell how)Reading through this has made me need a lie down!
