  • Guess it depends whether you want to make a point of it/what your hoping to achieve?

I do see what you mean and maybe for you it's relatively hassle-free to nip back if there's a problem. Some people possibly make a mountain out of a molehill with issues and can be annoying for the rest of us.

    However...

It depends how easy it is for her to get back to Mr T. Work commitments, children, distance to place, method of transport, whether you're a sprightly 25 year old or someone much older with mobility issues, and so on.

Remember, not everyone finds a trip back to a shop that easy. The return trip would definately be an issue for some individuals, even if it's no biggy for others.

I don't think it's wrong to point that out (with a smile). It helps them improve customer services and it helps other people from having the same issue.

If the lady had a long trip to sort the issue out, I don't see why they shouldn't be offering her recompense for her time and the extra journey. It would be courtesy and a nice goodwill gesture for their mistake.

    Thanks OP.

Just been to collect my items. I'm sending the majority of items back as thinking about it now, they aren't things i necessarily need and of course there's the odd item that doesn't look as glamorous as it does on the website.

Got some nice canvas shoes for £1.00. The bottom of the shoes state they are different sizes, but inside the shoe they say they are the same size. Odd. But as they were so cheap and fit ok (although one shoe seems a little tight,) i'm going to keep them. I also got a nice top for £1.00 (originally £16.00) and £2.00 pyjamas. Bargain!

    Thanks once again!
  • Still plenty of bargains to be had in my local store..

Picked up a pair of brown ladies boots for £5 (reduced from £20, then £15), 2 kids tops for £2, 2 pairs of jeans for £3 and a pair of girls PJs for £3 :T:T:T

Very happy and sorted for spring :)
  • Still a fair bit left in store at Kingston park store. Mainly still half price, but took a lovely pair of soft denim baby dungarees with a pink butterfly on the front to the tills asking for the price and they were only £2,:T think they had been £8 or £10.
None of this type had been marked down at all so no one was bothering with them.
  • Hi. I have it on very good authority (well from my mate who works there:o) that all sale clothes will be reduced to £1 on Saturday.
Shame I won't be able to get there:(
  • Well I did complain as first of all they had not taken all the tags off yesterday and we set off the alarm with was really distressed for my Special needs son and then we had to wait while they swung every bag through while alarms kept going off while other people with tags still of there clothes left. And then my slippers had wires in and then I had to take it back for them to remove the other tag not on at all!! They gave me a £5 gift card which hubby nicked to buy himself a work shirt!! and to think in this house anything might be mine.

  • I ordered on Mon. night and it was due in store today. I got an email during the night saying it was dispatched. I tracked it and it showed it was delivered to store at 9.30 am. I then received a text message just after 4pm to say it was ready for collection so headed off to store only to find out that it wasn't there! Spoke to customer service this evening and they said there have been a lot of problems with orders and that they are not always getting accurate info on their systems.
More than a little peed off as I was really wanting a couple of the items today.

Aha, thanks for this info. I went to collect my order tonight after they texted me to say it was in. We were missing quite a lot of items that had been marked as dispatched. It was all very confusing to me and the poor fella at Customer Services when I rang. He eventually worked out that the missing items have a different dispatch number and may have been sent separately... but not for sure. Your information adds up with the poor CS guy's issues in trying to work out where half my order has gone to!

I must say, CS have been brilliant tonight, and I've been promised a call tomorrow to update me and/or resolve the missing items issue. It does make all the difference when there are problems :)

Not all sale items are going to be reduced to a pound but there is a pound event starting on Saturday for four days. Some sale items will be further reduced to a pound but stores are getting dedicated deliveries with the stock for this event.

I popped in after work and got a pair of jeans, a long sleeved top and a lovely purple scarf for me and a pair of jeans and two long sleeved fleecy tops for my hubby, all for only £21.
