DS and his mate went out at sparrow's cough on a bike ride. They caught the bus to Bakewell (with the bikes - driver's discretion) and cycled through Stoney Middleton, Litton and Tideswell  - he's just arrived home (must've smelled the dinner;)) told me where he's been - but it's SNOWING up there - yes, he said, I know! And they cycled ALL THE WAY HOME
When I was a kid I would wander off - but my two are like explorers!
It's a good job I'm not a worrier (well, I keep it to myself;))

He's in the shower now. he was - erm - moist :rotfl:

Snow stopped (it's melting now) so emptied the dyson, put out the rubbish and recycling, filled up the coal and the log baskets. As the rain and snow have been coming from the south the logs have got damp, so they are in the utility room drying out.

DW is on, pillows are in the airing cupboard, first mattress topper is in the TD, a load of whites is in the machine. Now need to go and investigate the whereabouts of a jumper I've just realised I haven't seen for a while. And I might have a nap before thinking about hoovering :o

Valli, DH and I went for our first walk round there. We do tend to gravitate to Bakewell and Ashbourne.

Both did far too much yesterday and suitably sore so not much kitchen wise other than second coat of oil on the underneaths of the worktops. I capped it off by skidding down the garden steps in the mud this morning, more bruises for my collection :o

I have a huge (very reduced) joint of pork in the oven so utilised the heat and made granola and some wheetabix brownies on the basis that the boys like them and I don't.

WM has been on twice, WD once. I have to iron for the morning and help DS1 pack his bag for his overnight school trip tomorrow. Everywhere is covered in sawdust as the worktops are too big to cut in the garage.

Worktops are lovely with the oil on so chuffed with that.

We've had nasty white stuff falling from the sky, too!

Ironing pile has been demolished (by Mr LW):A

Tomorrow we have blokey coming to service the boiler; Mr LW is also wfh tomorrow, so I suspect flying will be postponed; or I may decamp to the bedroom and clean in there, just to be out of the way!:D

Froddy I hope your colleague continues to improve.

Dusty is there any further news on young Ed?

I know a few flyladies know the area. I have an achey DS - goodness knows how he'll get out of bed tomorrow!

Anyway FLYING IS NOW SUSPENDED IN VALLILAND
ther eis just NO POINT. Everywhere will be covered in dust and/or the contents of the kitchen. I will merely launder as best I can until after the installation, and keep the bathroom from becoming unpleasant. If all goes to plan it means that I will have the Easter hols in which to get the house back to my standards.

Glad the worktops are good - you've waited long enough;)

Good idea to suspend flying Valli! I am still suffering from the dust from the first round of flooring being done, so prep for the second involves putting stuff away and keeping things hygienic. Once it is done I will then wash down as much as possible before the decorating starts!

Good job it is just the underneaths. Hoovered everywhere else, made a start on veg for dinner and cleared a space to iron in later.

It will be lovely to have the dining room back next week as stuff goes back into the kitchen.

DS1 doesn't have a list of what he is supposed to take - it is in his drawer at school apparently. Helpful. If I wasn't so unsociable I would be able to contact one of the other mums and ask if there is anything exciting on it
