You don't say enough about your circs to offer meaningful advice?
What are your earnings? Are you single? Do you claim benefits, if so what and how much?
Why do you want money? Who would step in to support you and be paid for short term help? Do you have family to support you?
If you really feel you can't look after your child, then I respectifully suggest you call social services.

Do you have homestart near you? It's a charity that helps families out with children under 5. linky http://www.home-start.org.uk/homepage
They helped me out with my lo's after I had major surgery. And it's all free

When I broke my ankle and was non weight-bearing I went upstairs on my hands and knees and down the same way. I got really good at it (the weight goes on your knee, not your shin). Can you shop online and buy as much pre-cooked stuff as possible. Put a chair in the kitchen so that you can sit down while you prepare food/put stuff in the oven and take it out. Slow cookers and casseroles are a good idea too.
As for cleaning, your house won't fall down if it gets dusty! Get you little one to help mummy, he will love it.0 -
contact pre-school and see if there is anyone who lives near you who could collect your littley; failing that tell them he won't be attending until you are well and able to take him.

OK now is the time to find out who your friends are! Get on the phone and beg some favours (to be returned when you are fit and well)
Any family around?
Any neighbours who can help? Any neighbours who have young people who can help? (bribery could work)
Does your ex live near? If he does can he take some holiday/unpaid time off? Can he have your child at the weekend (at the very least)
Any work colleagues who could call in?
Found an article that, I thought, gave some good tips;

Thanks guys. I'm panicing. No family near by and all my friends work I'll just have to muddle by I guess. The money I would need would be to pay someone to pick up and drop off at preschool and help with some of the housework. I dont appreciate the unhelpful comments of dseventy. I dont 'want' money, I need practical help. I would respectfully suggest that You keep your thoughts to yourself if you have nothing constructive to say!

Can your ex have DS for longer?
Can you phone your health visitor and see if she can access some support for you and DS?:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Some brilliant suggestions of help offered. Can your ex keep your child for a few more days until you feel more able to get about? No disrespect intended but I have no idea how extra money will help. Why is that always the first thought?! This is where the only assistance you need is practical - family, friends and neighbours helping with the practicalities of getting your son to pre-school. Can any of his friends' parents pick him up on their way? Microwave meals aren't great, but are perfect for this type of situation. Just think practically. Money won't change anything.DMP Mutual Support Thread member 244

Please don't panic. I expect you are in a lot of pain at the moment but I am assured that it does get easier and you get good at adapting.
Try some of the ideas suggested.
Does your ex know you have broken your ankle? If he has your child until Wednesday does that mean he doesn't work/self employed/ taking holiday? Any chance of his keeping your son until you are a bit more mobile?0
