  • Ah Mary. Have just read your lovely diary and you've made me all emotional! You are doing such a fantastic job - really top. I feel guilty about all the times recently I have moaned about life and felt sorry for myself.

I will be taking a leaf out of your positive book and putting my best foot forward tomorrow.

    :A - for Superman.

MM I welled up reading your post, thankyou for your kind words. And thankyou for Superman's :A:A:A he is doing laps of the living room at present!

It is strange but since i made the decision to look for positives in everything i do feel so much better in myself and each day is slowly getting easier!

Never feel guilty, we are all entitled to a good moan and there is no contest for who gets the hardest time award, it is all relevant at the time.

Soooooo operation bedroom, I feel it is time for a long over due update! As we know baby Hinge is settled in his new room and loves it :T:T i am loving having my room back, or at least would be if the [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE] car bootie goods wern't taking over ever spare inch! When will this snow naff off so i can earn some dosh and shift this junk?! Miss. Hinge will have her first night up in the loft tomorrow :D although it is unpainted we can juggle around the furniture on saturday! Superman just can not cope having her bunking down on his floor any longer, he is an emotional train crash with out his space:A:A bless his heart.

We have been gifted a chest of drawers on freecycle :D in spanking condition which Mr Hinge collected tonight :T that solves the storage problems, now to take them to bits and rebuild once up the loft ladder!

Beef stew all chopped and prepped for the slow cooker in the morning ready for tea tomorrow after a busy day slaving away! Must have a look at the meal plans for next week and write a shopping list. Mr Hinges is eating me out of house and home...... I may have to slip him some wormers!! :rotfl::rotfl:

Baking and cooking to fit in tomorrow, fairy cakes for Superman and lemon GF shortbread and peanut butter cookies for Miss Hinge, will make some more pizzas for the freezer and a vat of bolognaise for freezer jack pot next week!

I am trying to manage my budget with the "pots" method, I have opened a few online accounts and have divided up my wages to cover all monthly saves/spends so the main account will be untouched.... I will let you know how this goes!!

And finally before i finish my epic post does anyone know how to add photos here?! Superman's rainbow minutes are complete and look smashing and miss Hinge's blanket is coming on a treat!

  • I'm doing grand thank you :D Although I went from feeling  with myself to feeling :D coz of my nice boss in the space of about 5 mins so all's good!! :rotfl:

I got paid yesterday :j Tallied up all the money I have in all the accounts and though :j But I get paid monthly so it's obviously gonna be a higher total for the first... ummmm... 24 hours...!! :rotfl:

I have my main bank account with First Direct. I have a bank card but never use it and never looked at the pin number. My monthly 'allowance' is transferred over into my Santander account, and I lift £xx weekly. Anything that's left with FD goes to savings. Really simple method but works wonders :D

Great to hear about all the bedroom/house sorting out! It'll be such a sense of achievement when it's all done!! ;)

Ref the photos: do you have any online photo albums or facebook or anything??

Stopping by on a busy Good Friday morning for a quick coffee break!

Ref the photos: do you have any online photo albums or facebook or anything??

I have Fb but very heavily security settings so only friends can view my profile and photos.

Not feeling quite so positive to day, huge barny with Mr Hinge and a night on the sofa has left me rather sore and wondering if I actually know anything about this man I have shared a decade of my life with. :o

Today I stand in despair of how cruddy and shockingly filthy my house is, I will be checking out the fly lady thread and scrubbing the kitchen floor later to [STRIKE]pretend it is Mr Hinge's boolley-bongs[/STRIKE]to relieve some tension :rotfl:......... How do you all manage to keep on top of the housework whilst working and juggling [STRIKE]4 if you count Mr Hinge[/STRIKE]3 very different and very active children?!

I am aiming to declutter 1 room today and fill at least 1 black bag for throwing and 1 bag for stuff to sell! Need to sell sell sell as the rug Miss Hinge wants for her bedroom is £24  but it is much needed as she has wooden floorboards and sounds like a heard of elephants up there!

Slow cooker is on and smells good! best get back to the chores and [STRIKE]stop the monsters strangling each other[/STRIKE] check the children are playing nicely :rotfl:

I use google for online albums coz I don't have FB. Everything is private unless I send the link to someone. I've a 'random' album where I can add photos in if I was looking to share them on here. If that makes sense!! :o

Hope you get things sorted asap!

    Ummmmm..... pass!! :rotfl:

I suppose we've just got ourselves into a routine. I've 45mins from when OH leaves for work til I leave. Usually in that time I get all the dishes washed and put away, empty bins, vacuum/dust or clean en suite, and would load the washing machine. By time OH gets home at lunch the washing is done so he hangs it out. He empties the big bins. Usually gets something or other else done too.
The girls are supposed to keep their rooms tidy. Then they're supposed to do a chore every night (so they get their pocket money), which then helps me and OH out a bit around the house.
Generally the house is presentable, and it wouldn't be a major panic if someone turned up unannounced. It helps that the girls are in their teens, so there are no toys lying about.

Only I work Mr Hinge is at home all day and it seems only I do any housework  he is supposed to do the laundry and ironing but it seems this has halted the last 2 weeks and the living room is over flowing with clothes, there is no method to his madness and I don't know what is clean, dirty, ready to iron or too small ready to go to the cash for clothes place! It really is like having a 4th child.:(

2nd batch of cakes are in the oven and cooking! the first batch are just for Superman..... I caught him licking them as they came out the oven :o.... just making sure he gets his share :rotfl::rotfl:

Cuppa number 3 of the day is going down nicely! Mr Hinge has returned some paint to the shop after my lovely friend donated a tin of beautiful pink which matches the bargain bin wall paper perfectly :T thats £18 to go back on the card :j will cover most of Miss Hinge's rug!

Have a huge pan of bottom of the fridge soup and the hob with all the left overs from the veggies I have just peeled and chopped for the next 3 days. Mr Hinge walked in the kitchen saw my welding a rather large Knife and hastily retreated in to the other room!:rotfl::rotfl:

    Are you working today HaW?!

Hmmm... a long list of housework needing done and a sit down over a cuppa needed me thinks!! Break it down to maybe one room per day or something. But it should def be shared, not you made to feel like you're doing everything!!

(and we only iron when we need to, saves bundles of clothes piling up unnecessarily. Stuff gets wrinkled half times in the cupboards anyway and you're only gonna have to iron again before you wear it! ;))

Working today. Off Monday and Tuesday :) Looking forward to the long weekend!!
