Nice to see a you Snaggles and HaW and know I am not talking to myself!:D
Today:
2 hours overtime at work, will be nice on pay day!
Mr H has picked up the m&s dine in meal using the voucher and picked up some Yellow sticked strawberries and a pot of cream :j cost 3p with the voucher:D I think I can live with that! Beef in the oven smells divine other 2/3rd wrapped and in the freezer, thinking of the waistline aswell, not so long ago we would of cooked and eaten the whole piece of beef
Superman has had me in stitches since I got home, he is desperate to give my his mothers day makes, he looks so very proud to of written his name, albeit backwards!
Miss Hinge is nagging for me to teach her some cross stitch so she can name a wall hanging for her new loft bedroom so will "make do and mend" some left over aida and threads for her and rummage out some scraps of fabric for a backing. I am glad she is picking up on my thrifty ways and developing hobbies that will serve her well in life.
I have had a delivery of some custom hand dyed rainbow 100% yarn and I am very excited at the thought of what to knit with it, it were a steal at 75% off and I used the last of my xmas ££ to buy it. Must think very seriously at starting a little wahm business, have already a few items ordered from friends to buy and the extra income would help the pot!
Superman is desperate to see "that won, wings" so here it is :A:A:A:A:A:A:A:A:A:A:A just for my little cherub!
Must go check on the [STRIKE]pancakes[/STRIKE]Yorkshire puds

Hi mary, just had a quick read of your diary, good luck on your journey
The menu plans look great. It must be hard having children with specific dietary needs but looks like you're doing as well as you can accommodating them. Your little man with his love of ribena is ringing alarms in my head because of the effect on his teeth.....hope he can wean off that one day, plus all the sugar might add to hyperactivity? (don't want to offend you, I don't have kids so I imagine you need to do what you can for a quiet life sometimes) Can it be watered down and maybe decant a cheaper brand in the ribena bottle? (sorry if someone has already suggested this)
I hope you don't mind me asking, at the top of the thread in 2012 you received £1679 per month in benefits and this year it's £1821, is that because of children's disabilities? I've never had benefits so this is an education for me.
Hope the yorkshire puds are yummy0 -

I'm far from offended, we don't stand on ceremony here :rotfl:
We now recieve DLA for superman which is why the increase in benefits from last year.
I have tried all the tricks in the book with the drinking and the eating but unfortunately it is not that easy. Superman is very sensitive to change and won't be tricked by packaging, his taste buds are in over drive and he notices far more then most. He has no added sugar and it is water down as much as I can get away with, he is very rigid in his routines and brushes his teeth 4-5 times a day, the dentist is happy with his teeth and surprisingly his teeth are healthier then most kids his age! He doesn't eat sweets or sugary cereal or things like that. He isn't hyper he just does not need much sleep, his running and climbing and jumbing is like "flapping" it is a stress relieving mechanism.

 nothing beats a cuppa and a fried egg buttie on such a cold damp grey morning, unless it's cooked by someone else! Thanks Mr Hinge, I knew there were a reason I married him!:rotfl:
The weather forecasts rain so car bootie tomorrow is looking unlikely, will use this morning as ebay listing then this afternoon I will set to work on Miss Hinge's new curtains and some for baby Hinge's room to be. Have found 12mts of header tape so shouldn't cost a bean to make themMy lovely neighbour has donated 2 rolls of girlie purple and silver wall paper which will look amazing as a feature wall for her, at the pricely sum of £1 a roll in the bargin bin:T Going to look at the local loros furniture shop on payday to see if they have anything we can upcycle for minimal ££'s
Superman is having a "off" day he is hiding from the world today, laid in his bed in nothing but his wellies and a high-vis jacket watching his ipad! As long as he is fed and watered I don't think I will hear a peep out of him until later.
Miss Hinge is on rabbit duty today, although they get litter trays changed and floors swept daily Saturday is the day for mopping out and grooming, she is quite the helper and only grumbles constantly about the unfairness of it all :rotfl:
Baby Hinge is [STRIKE]driving me up the wall[/STRIKE] helping with my knitting, unfortunately that means pulling out my needles and chasing the cat with them  is nothing safe with a climbing toddler?!
I am debating doing a weekly online shop with a trip to Ald! for fresh fruit and veg to see if we can cut the budget a little. Any thoughts/experience on this?

Superman sounds so much like my son did a few years ago. If it's any consolation, teenagerhood has made him far lazier
and far more likely to sleep (albeit during the period from 1am - 2pm, like so many teenagers!).
His tastes are also changing, and while he is still very rigid in some ways, he is beginning to accept new things (yellow peppers...have to be yellow, not red or green...and softened, not cooked or raw...).

It is so difficult cracking this eating and drinking thing, people look at me all gone out like it can't be that hard and I need to grow a pair, but it just really isn't that simple. he lived of 2 weetabix a day when he started school and lost 12lbs in 8weeks.... he is only 35lbs to start with:(!
.
Hi Snaggles nice to "see" you here again! How are you today?
It is good to know these boys do make progress and it makes the here and now easier knowing it won't be forever!
I have just sorted out my wool box  the lid will now just about close if I park my lardy harris on it to squish it down first! good news is I have found lots of delightful yarns to make plenty of next size up winter woolies! I need to learn to crochet I love the afgan blankets and think one for Miss Hinge and baby Hinge's new rooms will be a welcome addition for the chilly nights! I have 2 full to busting black bags of yarn ready to go to the car boot sale and I know it sold well last time!
I think this maybe a new challenge for me.... No more buying yarn until I have emptied my stash!!:o i have mentally costed every ball and it is far from :money:

Morning, Happy mothers day to all you mummies out there, I am one very lucky mummy, spoilt by my 3 beautiful children with an array of home made gifts and a single home grown runner bean seedling from Superman
complete with his name! :T
No bootie today, the snow put paid to that! Ebay listing is going very very slowly, never have I know such a long winded and ridiculously boring job!
Miss Hinge is on a mission to clear her room, she is boxing up old books, jigsaws, games and toys ready to sell, may try the local selling page on FB as another selling option.
Bank account looks  less then £3 in there until Wednesday, petrol is a little more then fumes but should see me to work and back tomorrow and Tuesday and anything else will have to be walked to! I have enjoyed "not spending" Maybe I will look at NSD challenges
Food stores look ok, got some baking to to today, thinking Twinks hobnobs with some uneated flavoured porridge sachets that nobody likes :rotfl: and maybe a dozen fairy cakes to pad out pack ups.
Rubber chicken for lunch, with left over m&s dine in veg, will make some dinners to freeze for [STRIKE]little gannet[/STRIKE]baby hinge to have in the week :rotfl:have 3 very sorry looking apples that will become pudding today with left over crumble topping from the freezer.
The Hinge household feels very "calm" the panic has gone from the air and everything seems in our control, even superman is chilling out.:A:A:A:A:A:A:A:A:A:A:A"wow I liked dat won!"
Must go peel the spuds and get the baking done, Hope you all have a good day:)
