    Thanks :D

Phew!!! Caught up I think! Lots of reading - and a very enjoyable read I must say! :D

Lots going on in your house! Hats off to you!! ;):)

I'm sure it was really tough going through the diagnostic stage with Superman but like you say, time to move forward. Accept it. Love him. And enjoy watching him grow, learn and develop! :)

:T to Miss Hinge at school! Def a proud mummy money there!

You're doing really well with your vouchers etc! Should really take a leaf outta your book and get stuck in!! :o

Your shopping does look high to me. We'd spend £150-£200 a month 2 adults and 3 teenager girls (we're all bottomless pits :rotfl:) 80% of our grub shopping will be from the reduced section and it saves us a fortune!!!

(although I may come round to yours for dinner a night or 2 too! Sounds yummy!)

Unfortunately Superman has very restricted diet and things have to be just the way he likes, He will only eat blue expensive brand crisps and only drinks Ribena juice..... he drinks galloons of the stuff and gets through £35-40 a month alone  if challenged he stops eating. As he is vastly underweight already we have to let him be! Miss H is on a gluten free diet so her bits and bobs add up aswell. £2.90 for a small loaf of bread  we do try and bake alot of things for her and cook hers seperately to spread out her foods as they are much more expensive then normal.

You would be most welcome, forewarning most appreciated so i can [STRIKE]wrestle[/STRIKE] put some pants on Superman:rotfl:

Nice to see you here HaW please feel free to stop by any time!

:waves: Hello, time to kick back and grab a much needed brew

Today has been very productive :j Collected a big bag of coat hangers on freecycle ready to organise my "thin" clothes to go to the car bootie Sunday....:o They are just taking up space and making the lardiness of my harris more apparent!

Returned 2 items of clothing and recieved £18 on a gift card for Mr A's bought ribena and a few bits for pack ups and some fresh fruit and veg for baby Hinge's food and plenty of reduced bargins for bottom of the fridge soup..... 12p diced carrot, onion and swede :T saves me peeling the dam thing! 22p brocolli and 78p for a big bag of banana's. Rummaged around and sacrificed some vouchers for Mr T £8.50 in total to cover milk, eggs, flour and a chicken for sunday lunch £2.83 whoopsie special :D will be stretched to a inch of it's life! I begrudge using mr T vouchers as I like to save them for days out vouchers for the summer but needs must.....Prompted by a tv ad I have also found out a credit note for m&s for £19.83 so if I can find another 17p( raide the penny jar :rotfl:) I can get 2 of thier mothers day dine in meals for £10 and really have some luxury grub!

So on the theme of make do and mend I have routed out some old curtains I kept for a rainy day, both pairs are 3m long and will be perfect for a curtain to block of the loft stair case to give Miss Hinge some privacy when she goes in her new room, I'm hoping they will dye in the machine as they are rather unexciting but very purposeful!

Time to get on with some knitting!

    Night night

Ahh, bottom-of-the-fridge soup. My favourite. :T

I call it 'salvage soup'. :D

My biggest success was Thai marrow soup, made with a marrow that was reduced to about 20p because it was damaged, some coconut milk found at the back of the cupboard and some herbs and spices. It made about 10 servings and everyone that tried it asked for the recipe.

Oh I know exactly where you're coming from!! :p I do mine at *cough* work *cough* :D :rotfl:

Ouch! Yes OHs girls are fussy but they have to make do with what we set in front of them! :rotfl:

OH DD3 wasn't well at the weekend (cold just) and wanted Ribena. Local shop and Asda were both over £3 for a ltr bottle. We picked up the Asda 45% Fruit Juice instead as it was easily half the price. The girls actually prefer it to Ribena, and I have to say I'm a big fan of it myself :D

Gluten free stuff is expensive :( Very rarely see any of the bread for eg. in the reduced section.

I've never done the M&S meal deal, partly coz we like cooking from scratch, partly coz we'd get a dozen meals for the same price from reduced, and partly coz we don't like wine!! Does sound rather tasty though :)

    Happy Friday :)

Does it taste axactly like ribena? if it is not identical he wont drink it :o he would choke himself until it made him sick

we sometime find the odd fruit load reduced but still about £2 yellow stickers, it is crazy! we do get a few bits on prescription but they are basic and very bland.

I wouldn't dream of buying most things from m&s due to cost but we returned some [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE]unwanted xmas pressies and have a voucher to use, the joint we picked up is beef and will be cut in to 3 chunks which will do 3 sunday dinners :money:after this week I am in need of a smidge of wine!

:rotfl: Obviously I'm not supposed to either, but only me and 1 other girl in the office and she can't see what's on my screen so..... All that clicking and typing just makes me look busy :D

Probably not exactly, but probably the closest I've ever had. Ideally if there was some way you could try before you buy...??
