Phones4u porting to O2

For anyone who's interested:
I went ahead with the phones4u contract, as there was nothing on the website that said you couldn't port yourself (just said "we cannot arrange to Port your number on Vodaphone and O2 for website sales).
Everything seemed ok when it came in the post, nothing about not porting so have arranged it myself with O2. Then I got my cashback form from p4u this morning and in the terms and conditions there it says you must "ensure that the mobile phone number on the (6th month) airtime bill submitted with your application corresponds with the mobile phone number on this claim form", which wouldn't be the case after porting
However I've just called p4u and they tell me that this clause isn't valid and they know they can't stop me porting, so the cashback won't be an issue, so am not too worried. They won't send me anything in writing or email confirming this though so am considering complaining to their head office or ofcom - does anyone think this is worthwhile, or shall I just trust what I've been told (I've got the name of the person I spoke to, and a reference number and she says she's put a note on my file).
Nick
Don't worry about the number on the claim form and the number on the bill. That doesn't matter in the cases of number ports such as yours so you have nothing to worry about.0
