At 23 I think Glasgow would be better for you. You can always get the train to Falkirk!" The greatest wealth is to live content with little."

Bear in mind that you don't need to go far from Glasgow city centre to get cheaper rent - I live in Rutherglen at the moment a stones throw away from the train station and can be in the city centre in less than 10 minutes. Train is £2 a day.
I don't particularly like Falkirk, Stirling is better IMO and you're not much further away from Glasgow on the train (train is 30 mins to an hour depending on which you get, there are direct trains from Stirling to Glasgow that don't stop every hour or so)
Only bad thing about living as far out is the price of trains - a season ticket is circa £200 per month from Stirling so if you end up working in Glasgow it could work out pretty expensive.0 -

That is the jist of it.
Personally if you are neither, and are a Arsenal/St Mirren/Motherwell/Burnley fan they still ask "what are you really?"
or as I would get( as I don't care about football)
!but if you had a team, which one would it be?!0 -
You could always try "I'm english......"
some jokes.
You just need to be able to swop the sides round when required.

hah glasgow wins hands down with that one!
dundee is the pits and more like a large town than a city0 -
Dundee is however a brilliant night out. I wouldn't fancy living there for long though
OP if you can afford it then find somewhere west end of Glasgow - pubs / clubs decent places to eat and parks to walk the dog(s). What you spend extra on rent would be saved in the commute from Falkirk / Stirling.
Consider places on the outskirts as already mentioned too - rutherglen / shawlands are pretty popular.
Falkirk is fine too, but I would agree with the poster that mentioned stirling as a better place to live. You still aren't far from Glasgow or Edinburgh for that matter but it's a much busier place than Falkirk - though again you'll pay a bit more in rent.0 -
I would say go with Glasgow. I have lived in the southside of Glasgow, shawlands, for 2 and a half years now only a 5-10mins train into town or plenty of buses till all hours in the morning. I have a dog toO and there are more than enough parks to go to. Slightly cheaper than living in the westend plenty of pubs and a couple of nightclubs in the area or you can always go into city centre0
